Review Ristorante Luciano - Stone Harbor

Ryan Torrenti
My wife and I visited this evening thinking we had a reservation. The reservation was mistakenly made by me for the following week. What impressed me was that Joe, without a hesitation, sought out a way to make room for us to dine. We were made to feel unbelievably welcome the entire time. Not only was the service impeccable but the food was to die for. It was so nice being in this space with so many people who were enjoying their evening. The entire evening, as people were leaving, I could not help but hear the sincere thank you’s that were being offered to the staff. This was truly a special experience and I recommend anyone who is visiting Stone Harbor to visit this restaurant.

Wonderful experience. We will return! This place is BYOB. Pistachio Gelato was amazing! The lobster and shrimp special with homemade pasta was so good. My family enjoyed the veal parm and chicken marsala.

We loved that you could make a reservation in Stone Harbor. It was a party of 8. The food was fabulous!! The Linguini Alfredo was to die for and the best I have had in years! The bass stuffed with crabmeat was excellent. If you love Brussels sprouts, get them as an appetizer. The whole table loved them!!! They were the best we all have ever had. I highly recommend this place. It’s a BYOB, and easy to bring a few bottles of wine on your own!

We have been here many times but tonite the special with orrichetta in a blush sauce was outstanding as were the focaccia and profiteroles. This place stands the test of time and never disappoints. Chef deserves a nice raise😎 Thank you to the owner, chef and wait staff for providing exceptional environment, food and service!

Rating: 4.75/5.00 From the apps to the entrees, casual fine-dining was balanced with the plating of beautiful, organized, and enticing dishes Anything at the shore presents a premium, but the portion-sizes and quality of food make it well worth the price. Luciano’s elevates classic Italian dishes to the next level of flavor. Our tastebuds did a cartwheel and every bite stuck the landing, it left you wanting more. The staff maintained a friendly, professional, attentive, and outstanding level of service from start to finish. Exposed brick walls, wooden tables, and mood-lighting made for a wonderfully intimate experience. Our one critique is the opportunity for a less crowded seating arrangement. Although, when in good company, nothing is too close for comfort. Dish Recommendations: - Starters: Caesar Salad, Focaccia, Roasted Brussel Sprouts, Bruschetta - Entrees: Chicken Piccata, Rigatoni Pomodoro, Fettuccini Alfredo - Desserts: Homemade Pound Cake, Crème Brûlée Cake, Chocolate Soufflé Countess Ego reminds you, elegance is learned, my friends. Eat well…

Food was excellent. Very kind and hospitable staff who went above and beyond to help us have a good experience. Waitress was knowledgeable and attentive. We love a great BYOB place. The only downside was that we did wait over an hour for the main course to come.

I look forward to my dinner at Ristorante Luciano every summer. I always go with one of their specials that they are running at the time. The crispy brussel sprout appetizer was delicious and the gnocchi special was out of this world. My dad always goes with the Spaghetti with Crabmeat and enjoys it every time. Melissa was an amazing waitress. I'm looking forward to my next meal at Ristorante Luciano!

First time dining at Ristorante Luciano and it definitely didn’t disappoint. The food was amazing from start to finish and the dessert was out of this world. Lauri provided amazing service and told us to take our time even though our reservation was closer to closing time, which was appreciated. Overall a great experience and definitely recommend!

We have been eating here annually for at least a decade, we have never had a bad meal. The staff and service are always wonderful and the food is absolutely delicious. It’s traditional Italian done right and executed flawlessly. The bruschetta is the best I have ever had and we get it every single time, the Caesar salad is top notch. Multiple pastas are made in-house and also the gnocchi. The specials are always phenomenal. One of our favorite places to eat when in Stone Harbor.

My SIL was able to get us a much sought after reservation. Every dish was delicious and our server, Lori, was excellent. She was so personable and helped us select the perfect meals! Can't wait to go back!

We went to Luciano’s last night for dinner. It was our first time there and it did not disappoint. The focaccia bread is delicious as well as the Caesar salad. The special brussel sprout appetizer is a winner. There were four of us. We ordered the homemade spaghetti with crabmeat, the ravioli with meatballs, and the special, homemade fettuccine with shrimp and lobster. All were fantastic! Mary, our server, was wonderful. She made great suggestions and obviously knew the menu and ingredients. Great Italian food. We will be back!

Good rustic Italian. Not the same dishes you'll get at every place. Very seafood focused which fits the vibe of Stone Harbor. The pasta is all house-made and delicious. I had linguini with shrimp and lobster. Both of the meats were a little on the overdone side but the sauce and pasta were great. They're BYOB only so we got a bottle of wine from Fred's Liquor store around the corner.

Always good and always in the Italian tradition. Need to make reservations right at 4 weeks out. BYOB!

In one word..EXTRAORDINARY. If there were more than a 5 Star rating... I'd give it here. From start to finish, everything we had here was phenomenal. The service was super friendly, extremely knowledgeable and very attentive. The ambiance was great. And the food...FLAWLESS. From start to finish- An amazing and memorable meal. Portions are generous and delicious. Everything was so fresh and top-notch quality. The highlight being a Fettucine with Shrimp in a light tomato sauce.. I could probably use 25 adjectives to describe how good this dish was, and it still wouldn't give it due praise. I'd put this dish up against anything that Mullberry Street has to offer. And I'm not overstating this for effect...Every bite better than the last.. This was possibly the best pasta dish I've ever had ANYWHERE !! Also ordered Diver Scallops wrapped in Prosciutto on a bed of garlic-sautéed spinach--Incredible in-and-of itself!..Scallops were huge, fresh and perfectly cooked(a very rare occurrence). The entire dish exploded with freshness and flavor. Appetizers were great. Caesar Salad was first-rate with a delicious dressing that was way to good not to be homemade and totally fresh. My son ate nearly his entire huge dish of pasta and his quote was "That was the best food I ever ate!"... I may agree. And given the quality and quantity of what you get.. Prices are very reasonable. Only minor negative I could mention here is the fact that it's only BYOB.. But that's only if that is a big deal for you.. They gladly accommodate those who chose to bring their own ,no differently than if it had come from their wine cellar . And after this awesome meal where didn't dare leave a speck of food..huge portions but just Way too good to stop eating.. Truthfully, didn't feel overstuffed or bloated afterwards at all. This really is proof of what you get when you put high quality ingredients in highly-skilled culinary hands. Truly one of the best dinning experiences we've ever had.

No doubt the food and service are always on point. My only complaint would be that sometimes the lights are so dim you can barely see the people across the table from you. I get setting a mood, but come on, lighten up...
Nick Pollick
Amazing service, great atmosphere, food is out of this world. Staff was great and food was brought out on time. Would recommend anyone! Make your reservations in advance they book up quick!
Jonathan Stauffer
The best. The absolute best. The atmosphere is great The food is unbelievable Thank you for everything!

I am giving one star for several reasons. The portabella mushroom with crab meat appetizer consisted of one mushroom and a little crab for 18.50. The bruschetta was burnt toast with some tomato and vinegar. The spring salad was not edible because it was drenched in poor quality balsamic vinegar. The bread is served without dipping sauce nor butter. When we asked for butter they gave us each one foiled wrapped cold butter. The entrées did not include any side dishes. I ordered chicken Masala and they charged us '6.00 extra to have it over pasta. The food I must say is tasty but not outstanding for the price. The place is noisy and the chairs are uncomfortable. If you want atmosphere this is not a good place. It does not even have tablecloths or placemats. The hostess was not friendly nor welcoming when we arrived. There are so many good restaurants in the seashore but this one is an over priced tourist trap and a far cry from "fine dining". This local will be dining at Sapore in Cape May.
