Review Hemmingway`s Restaurant - Stevensville

Although the food weren't that special according to the price, but they weren't bad either. They were delicious and tasty enough to enjoy such wonderful, breezy evening with scenic environment. The interior design was amazing and eye-catching. However, do try dining outside during a breezy evening while enjoying beautiful sunset. From the menu, "Cream of Crab" and " Crab Sandwich" will be must try. Kids can enjoy the place too as long as you keep your eyes on them constantly. We could surely call our evening a picture perfect one if two flies weren't flying around. Other than, we enjoyed our dinner utterly. Do come here at Hemmingway's.

Stopped in at dinner time and was able to get a table right away. The kids got the burgers (as kids do) and don't complain at all. My oldest son ordered the special, which was bacon-wrapped jumbo shrimp fried in panko breading. I ordered the Cajun creole pasta. For appetizers we had the calamari and fried brussel sprouts. Our waitress couldn't have been better. All in all, we will definitely be making a return trip.

Beautiful restaurant right on the water. Great views from just about anywhere inside and definitely outside. Food was fresh and tasty and they had a good selection of seafood choices among others. Although we didn't order alcohol bar area was nice and inviting as well. Restrooms were clean and stocked. Decor inside was very nice and what you would expect from a seafood place on the water.

Had a nice lunch out here on their patio. Great view of the bay, kent island, marina and bay bridge. You can see small planes take off and land if you hang around long enough. There is an indoor section, deck and lower lawn, patio and bar. Everyone in my party enjoyed their meals. The waitress was very friendly and accommodating. Plenty of parking in the front of the restaurant.

Food was fantastic! After a morning on the bay with Chesapeake Sport Fishing, this was the perfect meal to end our adventure. Buffalo shrimp tacos were fresh, crispy and flavorful. Seared scallops with watermelon and mango served as my meal with a side of delicious coleslaw. Appetizer was the crab dip. Delicious.

I had always seen this restaurant from the highway after traveling over the Bay Bridge. We finally stopped and had dinner there one evening. The view of the bay and the bridge from the large, open windows was fantastic. The food was well-prepared and tasted great. Service was top-notch, too! I highly recommend the experience! Take the first exit off the bridge from Route 50 to Romancoke Road - you'll be glad you did!

This is a great spot with amazing sunset views. They are tight on staffing but I can’t blame them right now with the staffing shortage. The food is great and a large selection.

Great views and seating areas. Food is fresh and priced great. Wait staff is fun and friendly. (Pictured below is the Fish&Chips; Crab cake Sandwich; Chefs Key Lime pie; and Smith Island original Cake)

Walked right in and sat down in the tiki bar area for good food and a GREAT view in the early afternoon. Perfect stop on the way to Ocean City or the eastern shore. The environment and views were easily worth the detour and the slightly salty prices.

The views are beautiful of the bay and the bridge. We had the Caprese salad and the scallops with mango and watermelon salsa. They were both fabulous. However dinner was just ok. A bit pricey and no substitutions. That was disappointing. Our waiter was very good.

Amazing views of the Chesapeake Bay and great menu. Go for the Seafood Rolls which is basically their version of a Lobster Roll but Maryland Style with fresh Rockfish, MD Crab, and Shrimp. Nice place to stop if you have time when heading to the Outlets or Ocean City.

The food was amazing. The service excellent. Try my favorite drink if you like a hot tea. Taso passion with Ammoreta. Oh, and the Italian wedding soup was like homemade delicious!

Absolutely one of the better restaurants in the East Coast! The view is heaven ❤️❤️❤️ The wine we had was the prefect companion to cap-off the week. The soup is SUPERB! Travelled to many countries and US states, I rarely post reviews but this one deserves to be posted! We love Hemingway’s! The coconut shrimp was just the perfect balance of sweet & savory. Coffee? They have Stevia, too! Look for Christina, she’ll take good care of you 👏🏼

My girlfriend and I stopped in here for dinner on the way home from a visit to the eastern shore and we basically felt the experience was good here overall. First, if you get seated by the windows facing the bay, the view is so nice. Unfortunately it was a cloudy evening so we didn't get to see the sun set on this trip but I'd bet that view would be spectacular. Service was great. We were seated right away at dinner time on a Saturday evening...the place was fairly busy, but not overwhelmed. Our server was pleasant, helpful, and would check in regularly (but not too frequently to be overbearing). Drinks were ordered first; my girlfriend ordered a glass of wine and I ordered a pint of the Hemingway's Ale - which is not a house brew, contrary to the name. I was advised that it was brewed by Sam Adam's brewery and it's similar to their Boston Lager (it did seem similar but a bit hoppier). We ordered the crab dip as an appetizer which was good. It was served with corn chips and pita bread slices; a bit different from the usual baguette you might receive elsewhere. The pita slices were a little flimsy to dip into the thick crab dip so you'd probably be better off spreading the dip on the pita. But the dip was good, good sized chunks of crabmeat throughout. The only downsides I can note is that there's a lot of cheese on top and some bites were saltier than others. She also ordered a cup of the Maryland Crab soup which was very good. It had some additional seasoning to it that we couldn't quite place; a little different from most other MD crab soups found elsewhere throughout the region. For entrees, I had the rockfish and she got the salmon. The rockfish was inconsistently seasoned, the sauce tasted good but could've used more of it on the fish itself, and it also came with redskin mashed potatoes and a nice vegetable medley. Even with the "negatives" the fish tasted great and the portion was just right. Her salmon had a sweet and spicy glaze on top which was a good blend of sweet and spicy...the spicy wasn't too overwhelming. The portion was rather large for salmon, and it was served over a teriyaki rice and Asian-style vegetables. Overall, the food was good. The pricing is a bit steep here with most of the entrees in the $20-$40 range. Burgers and sandwiches are even $13-$18 and appetizers are $10-$15. A meal here could get expensive quick so this would probably be more of a "once in a while" spot for most casual diners.

Boy was I wrong! I always thought Hemingway‘s was a overprice tourist restaurant (there are plenty of them around KI). I couldn’t have been more wrong. The food was spectacular. I had the fish and chips and my wife had the seared tuna plate. Both were scrumptious! The view wasn’t just good it was fantastic and the service was truly exceptional. Everybody was so friendly and welcoming. After dinner we walked around the grounds which are vast and expansive. We had such a nice night I regret not having been here before. We will be going back soon.

We got to the restaurant about 45 minutes till close after being disappointed with a huge wait and rude hostess at Annie’s and lackluster vibe from The Narrows. The bartender Brian was amazing, the food was absolutely delicious. Great crabcake-broiled, scallops, as well as the pasta, and the old bay wings. Can’t recommend enough.

Good food, excellent drinks and fantastic views. The entrees for Sunday brunch were good, but nothing special. They offer a Sunday brunch menu not a brunch buffet. But on a more positive note, the bloody Mary’s were very good and our waitress was efficient, friendly and responsive. But the views of the Chesapeake are to die for! I imagine on summer evenings during sunsets, it is the place to be with some live music. I shall be returning soon, but definitely in the summer!

We were there to cheer for swimmers in the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Swim and has a great time. We sat outside on the patio and had beers and food while we watched swimmers come in. The beer selection was great and so was the food, I would highly recommend the chips and guacamole or anything that comes with the sweet potato fries. Services was a little slow, but it was super busy so not a real complaint. Overall it was great and I would definitely go back!

I would have expected a few breakfast type selections since our reservation was for 11:15. Food selection and flavor was mediocre, but I was told by other members of my party that the crab cakes were very good. We will visit again and order from the dinner menu next time. Great service however by our server Cheyenne!

We had a lovely lunch yesterday. Jennifer was our bartender/server. After pretty much a rainy visit to Annapolis it was great to cross the Bridge and enjoy the sunny day and the Bay. My husband had a soft shell sandwich and I enjoyed vegetable crab soup and some (really good) crab dip!

After waiting 20 minutes to place our dinner order, we decided to leave. Not one server even acknowledged that we were sitting there waiting. Folks that arrived After us where at least acknowledged and brought water. Absolutely horrible “customer service”. As a slip holder in Bay Bridge Marina, we will NOT be returning to Hemingway’s for our meals !

The view is beautiful but the food service is pathetic. We waited almost two hours for our order. Food was good but not great. They forgot two parts of the order. Told they’d discount the bill but forgot. I’ll stick with Kentmorr. Much better food and service.

Very welcoming . Excellent service from Karen. Had the chipotle aligator chili which tasted amazing. And fish and chips with a great view. Then I recommend the raspberry brûlée excellent. Can’t wait to return on a sunny day.
