I had coffee and flan at Tipicos Los Amigos a month ago before my weekly standing pool game at First Break, a few steps away and decided to make it a point to return for dinner sometime soon after that. This past Saturday, October 21, I dropped in at 9:00 PM, ordering Chicken Fajitas, which comes with beans, rice, guacamole, flour tortillas and Pico de Gallo. While waiting for my entree order I enjoyed corn chips, curtido, Corona Beer, black coffee and flan for dessert. Ingredients were universally fresh and delicious in all dishes. I especially appreciate the thin corn chips TLA serves with salsa.
When I was seated, I noted that the restaurant was at capacity and clearly serving the diaspora. This is a very good sign, indicating to me the cuisine is likely to be authentic and delicious. The restaurant is a well oiled machine. The floor was covered with servers who all appeared engaging and attentive to diners. There were at least four servers, and the hostess was also active interacting with the guests.
My Spanish is limited, so my server was patient and kind while working to relate my request to the kitchen to char the vegetables in my Fajita order. I resorted to using the translation app I have and she was off to the kitchen. Returning it was apparent that the chef was not comfortable with the concept so I promptly abandoned the request. I ended up boxing the Fajitas, enjoying everything else, and Sunday morning separated the chicken and vegetables, charred the vegetables in my cast iron skillet, adding the chicken back in near finish to heat the chicken and enjoyed my made to order Fajitas for breakfast. On my next visit, I am going to order tamales.

Most delicious food in the VA, the food was so delicious I definitely over ate, the pupusa locas are so huge and cheesy, chicharrón omg the best I have yet to have found a place that makes it like this crispy on the outside and juicy and soft in that inside, the carne asada soft and big portions, and let’s not forget about their smoothies that are to die for, Omg the pineapple and the Mango smothies soooo delicious I ordered two.
Ask for Jaime best customer service and will take care of you, I will definitely be back.

El Salvadoran. Typical menu. Fairly priced. As English speakers we had no problem. All the wait staff were perfectly bilingual.
Our waitress was excellent. Only negative was that the Nacho Platter's nachos were soggy.

They improved the customer service, food is delicious as usual. Sometimes there is too many noise and loud music, other than that it's a nice place to eat.

Jaime is the best server we have had here. Have come here for years and he takes the best care of us. Yummy food and fun environment.

Karen did an excellent job and was a very great server. She was very pleasant and made the experience a wonderful one. She was even able to do an off-menu customization of my chimichanga to only include fish. Not too many places do this but she did it to perfection.

If Karen is your server you’ll feel like you’re at home! She is lovely, attentive, and quick with salsa refills! Food is comforting Tex Mex. We came with the family for our weekly Wednesday dinner and we’ll be back for karaoke night and salsa dancing! Thanks to my brother in law Joseph for bringing us.

I order shrimp and steak tacos for dinner. The service was prompt and friendly. My server didn't speak English which wasn't an issue for me. The other server did speak English but I didn't need her as I have enough command of Spanish for dining purposes. The foods was delicious. I appreciated the flavors and home made tortillas. The chips and salsa were delicious and soft was the horchata. My entire meal before tip was around $18. A good value.
The only thing I am dinging the place for was that the music was just too loud for me. Others might enjoy it.
