Review Cafe Latte - Staten Island

Christina Spagnolo
I used to love going to this cafe for their sandwiches. The last time I went there were multiple long hairs throughout one half of my sandwich. I told the waiter, he did nothing and brought us the bill with the full price of the sandwich on it. I asked if we could only pay for half of the sandwich since the other half was disgusting. He should’ve apologized and taken care of the entire bill for us. Instead, he looked annoyed and took exactly half the price of the sandwich off. I was way nicer than I should’ve been, we shouldn’t have had to pay for any of that meal. I haven’t been back since and will never go back.

Delicious food and nice people

The waitress was reluctant to tend to us. The place seemed like an Albanian front for under-the-table business as men walked in and out without ordering food or drinks. There were dark hairs in my chicken dish so the kitchen prep is not up to sanitation code.

What a joke. Ordered coffee and the server looked blank Apparently this coffee house doesn't sell or even know what an Americano is. Asked for an orange juice and received another blank look from the server. Needless to say we went elsewhere for a coffee

Found this by staring at Google maps and decided to order some food after a looooong day of being at siuh. I got the skirt steak.... OMG, best skirt steak I've eaten in a while! It was cooked to perfection, super juicy! The French fries are pretty good, I like skinny fries and whatever sauce they come with (in a seperate small container) was drool worthy! I was beyond impressed. The prices, jeez, the prices are so cheap! In Manhattan that skirt steak dish would not cost less than $30. I am absolutely coming back for more take out for my 1.5 hr ride home back to Manhattan. I got a chicken melt too but I haven't tried it yet. Looks amazing though and the portions are so big!
