Cafe Con Pan

Extremely disgusted with the upper management!! This restaurant used to be a gem on the map and it rapidly went down the drain. Upper management started to cut back on a lot of costs. Food from here is no longer fresh, some of the ingredients are spoiled but still served. And worst of all, many of the staff members have expressed feeling unsafe in this establishment. I interviewed a few of the cooks and waiters and my heart almost broke! The conditions some of these employees go through are ridiculous!! Many of the employees expressed how hard it is to work for this company. They are constantly scolded, worked to the bone, and threatened to be replaced. Some of the ex-staff have even confessed to being fired right before they were eligible for part-time or full-time benefits. Many were given lousy excuses. Unfortunately, these employees hold their tongue daily in hopes of being able to provide for their families some kind of financial stability.

Location is convenient. It's the first restaurant to find after getting off the train. We ordered chicken fajitas. It was enough to feed three of us in one plate and was delicious, chicken, vegetables, bean, rice and tortillas. The rest room here is very nice and clean. People are friendly. We also bought some gummy candies for kids to have fun.

I've been a customer for over 5 years and have not yet been disappointed with the food or the staff. The huevos rancheros are as good as I had in a cantina in a border town in the hill country of Texas. My brother in law still raves about the burritos. Was there today for a corrizo omelet with rice and beans and it was very good.

I ordered a steak quesadilla and they forgot the steak. When I called the restaurant to have them remake it, the guy laughed over the phone and stated that it’s impossible that they forgot the steak and that they always put the steak and I must have only picked a cheese quesadilla. I ordered on Grub Hub and it states I ordered a steak quesadilla. I also ordered a strawberry Tres Leche and it was spoiled!!!
