Co workers and myself frequently come to this location when we’re working around the Verrazano Bridge.
Food is nonetheless outstandingly good, especially their Shrimp with Broccoli and house special fried rice to mixed into the sauce. Chicken Wings have a nice crisp which I like most.
Staff already knows us so its a mutual thing when it comes to customer service. Best Chinese food in SI so far (my opinion).

Food is delicious and cheap. Well at least for lunch it was we got 2 plates and it cost $12. I would of gave it 5 stars but it was so hot in there we had to leave and take our food home. And place didn’t seem all to clean. But I’ll still go again

After a bad experience at another locale, i realize tonight how island garden never failed me when i need comfort food after rough days.
So here's a positive review. Island gardens combos with egg roll are the best. Special diet menu portion and prices great. Fried dumplings exact to my childhood memories.

Be aware. We ordered sweet and sour chicken with white rice and the next two days, food poisoning with a visit to urgent care. Spoke to the manager and all he stated is that they cook everything in the morning & dump at night. I do not believe that. We have been to plenty of Chinese spots and this has never happened before. Will not buy from here again.
