This was an interesting experience recommended by my son who has been living in Penn state for more than 3 years. It is a store plus a restaurant. Everything looks old fashioned yet stylish. The place looks very colorful and the staff are super friendly. I ordered a very basic breakfast of eggs, bacon and grits. Grits is essentially porridge and it was my least favorite item. I left it untouched. The eggs and bacon were done just right. Their Cafe Latte was great. If you want to try authentic American breakfast while also browsing through their very interesting store, you should definitely give this place a try. Highly recommended.

This place has always been one of our favorites. The service is amazing. The food is always delicious. I love how the menu changes seasonal so you can expect something different. The place is clean and very well maintained. I would highly recommend!

I have to say that I know this restaurant for two years but never have a chance to be there and last night I went there and it was amazing! not only the crafting store but also the service was pretty good! Following the recommendations from the staff, we know that the meatloaf and the maple chicken are the best special cuisines. What’s more I do love the decorations of the Christmas holidays. definitely will go back again! FYI, I ordered 'HC Classics Maple Bacon Grill: MapBacGrCkn2' and 'CB Faves Meatloaf 2 Vegeta: Bac Mac Chz' with 'Fried Apples' and 'Mix bread: biscuits, cornmuffins'.

I love Cracker barrel! Talk about comfort food... The last time I was there, I ordered the scrumptious roast beef - slow-roasted for up to 14 hours - oh, so delicious! I got mashed potatoes & gravy and those absolutely perfect tender baby carrots. My friend got the Thursday special - turkey, stuffing, sweet potato casserole and cranberry sauce - what a meal!

Did the online wait list since we had a large party of 9 people. Go in and we're told 25-30 minute wait, no problem. After 30 minutes go to check and see if we were getting seated soon after 6 other smaller parties (consisting of 2-4 people per group) get seated, only to be told it'll be another 20-30 minutes! If you didn't want to deal with a large party just tell me up front, especially when I am on a time constraint. Heck I would have had better luck with the either waffle shop in state college for better service today.

My sister insisted on going to Cracker Barrel for breakfast though I was hesitant. I've been to Cracker Barrel in the past and the experience was never good for me for lunch/dinner or breakfast but I decided maybe after 1 year or more, maybe it would be better. I was wrong. I ordered the "Build Your Own Homestyle Breakfast" with biscuits, country ham, scrambled eggs and breakfast casserole. For drink, I ordered Coke, but it came tasting flat or like a diet Coke with a bitter lasting aftertaste. The eggs were good, the biscuits were alright but rock hard from the middle to the bottom. The ham was uneatable. I don't know if they used the same pan for all the meats but it tasted nothing like ham and was just a punch in the mouth taste of bitterness with grease. Again, I'm not sure what it was from but I only took 2 bites and was done. The casserole was cold and so was my grandmother's when her meal came. The only highlight was that my sister loved her breakfast which was "Grandpa's Fried Breakfast" with chicken and the breakfast casserole tater tots. Sad to say I'm never going to another one again, I've gave Cracker Barrel too many chances only to have them wasted.

Took a long time to be seated. Nobody was at the hostess podium. After we were seated, we waited a long time for our waitress. Other tables who had a different waitress were taken care of right away. Food came out luke warm. The only things hot were the coffee and syrup. We only ate there because we had a gift card. We won't be back. The service was better in the gift shop!!
