This was our first time at The Greek for dinner on the recommendation of a friend. We had a delicious dinner that started with a glass of the chardonnay from University Wine Company and the grilled calamari and three dip appetizer. The three dips were all good and the calamari in the garlicky butter marinade was really good. We both had the lamb kabobs for dinner with veggies over orzo. The lamb was prepared beautifully at medium rare like we asked for. For dessert we had the chocolate cake which was delicious but a bit to much after so much good food so we took most of it home. The staff was friendly and we had a great first visit. We will be back for sure.

I went there during Christmas holidays and the decorations over the restaurant is pretty good. Besides, the service is it is excellent as well. However, I‘m not a fan of Greek food so that’s reason why I think the cream is so strong and the cuisines are not as tasty as I think. In short, I still think it’s a good place for hanging out dinner though.

I had to Google the term BYOB (Bring your own bottle) to realise such a thing exists. Anyway, we did not take our own bottle. They have a separate counter that is managed separately by a company called University Wine Company. We ended up ordering 2 bottles of Moscato. The really cool part is that the bottle is sold at the same price listed on the website ($16) which I thought was pretty incredible. Food wise, I went for the chicken soup. A bit salty for my taste. But their appetiser and the gyros were delicious. My son ordered the classic Moussaka which was great. The place was relatively empty when we visited. They usually fill up during the weekend. Overall, a great dining experience. Highly Recommended.

Grabbed lamb chops with tomato basil soup as a side. It was excellent. No typical lamb smell at all. A bit expensive but certainly worth it.

The inside of this restaurant is beautiful!! The staff is friendly, the space is clean and bright, and the food was delicious. We enjoyed gyros and platters and were completely satisfied. The prices are very fair for the freshness and quality of the food. I will definitely come back and I would recommend this place to everyone! We were here for a community fundraiser for The Jared Box Project!

The Greek is a unique type of restaurant, the only Greek restaurant that I know of in State College. Atmosphere is wonderful, with art of Ancient Greece. I would highly recommend any of the Gyros, along with the Tzatziki Sauce and Pita Bread.

Had reservations after graduation on Saturday evening. Parking was so convenient. Away from the crowds. Was greeted promptly and seated right away in a beautiful second floor table. Excellent service. BYOB is great. Appetizers were delicious. Smaller portion entrees were fun to share. Will book next year for our other daughter's graduation from Penn State. We did feel bad that they close at 9pm because we could have easily sat for another hour as our seating was at 7:30pm.

First experience at The Greek was amazing! My wife and I love Greek food and The Greek didn’t disappoint. Friendly staff, fast service, nice environment, and great food…couldn’t ask for more. Dolmades were great, tomato basil soup was some of the best I’ve ever had, and the lamb kebabs were tender and the dish they were served in was great. My wife and I will be returning next time with our kids. A+
