One of my favorite bars in State College. It’s one of the low key bars where you can drink and it’s not shoulder to shoulder. The whiskey list is extensive with plenty of cocktails for everyone. Food is always outstanding and they always have new specials.

Came here for good drinks and food. The drinks were great as per usual. We order fish & chips just like we had a few weeks ago. We were served a plate of French fries and a despicable piece of fish. Small, embarrassing and insulting. When we ordered this previously it came with over twice as much. The plate cost $16 which is ridiculous when you realize it was less then $5 for the fries. We asked to make sure it wasn’t a mistake and we’re told it’s done by weight. We’ve eaten here and drank Many times but I will not bring my business back again. The manager came to talk to us to let me know the fish cost more and there’s nothing he can do. What an insulting solution. Be aware coming here that they care more about margins then maintaining happy returning customers. I will not be back

In the heart of state college. Great Vibe. Great cocktails and drafts. Great music. Good food. Well worth the visit. Favorites are the trout sandwich, grilled cheese, fried chicken sandwich. Haven’t tried the cheesesteak yet- but then I’m from Philly.

Pretty damn good food. Chicken sandwich and the Beaver burger were great. Didn't even need fries. Can't wait to try more. Went on a Sunday night late-ish, not too crowded.

It used to be good until, COVID and then it failed. That and the management being the most immature people you will speak with. Yes I used to work there. But after them saying they were going to give me a raise. That didn't come until I put my 2 weeks in. After working 70+ hours a week they fired me because I picked up a shift at another bar. Great bar if you're okay with the staff being abused

Local whiskey is my favorite spot to grab food/drinks but the service today was so terrible, I had to leave a review. I come in here frequently so I am very aware of what my total adds up to every time since I get the same thing consistently, however, today my total amounted to be over 20% more than it usually is. However the 20% up charge isn’t even the most ridiculous part. What was more ridiculous is the fact that my partner ordered a meal which was priced at $16, he specifically asked the waiter prior to ordering if replacing the fries with a salad would be an up charge. She said no. We got the bill & the total was $22, so he asked why and she said her manager doesn’t allow substitutions. The problem isn’t the price, it’s just the lack of accountability on the servers end. If you are unaware of the restaurant’s policies, inquire with the manager first before giving an answer to the customer. Saying “no there is no up charge for a substitution”, then charging $6 extra, and not even apologizing for being incorrect is disreputable.

Awesome whiskey selection. Food was absolutely amazing. I would have taken more photos of the food, but there was simply no time. Cheesesteak egg roll is pictured. Just one slice of it though. Again, there was no time.
