Well worth the drive from Oneonta. The restaurant was clean, the food was excellent, and the staff was friendly and professional. My husband and I went on what we thought would be a quiet Wednesday night. The restaurant was full, but the service was quick and efficient. In fact we asked for a slow dinner so that we could relax and their timing of our appetizers, salads, and dinner was impeccable. The food was out of this world delicious. The prices were so reasonable considering the meal and service. I can not say enough. Yum
While visiting my parents, we came to Vastas for dinner. Out waitress was lovely! Renee was pleasant, attentive and kind. We ordered a pizza to start (well done is key!) and it was delicious and came to the table hot. We each had an entree as well and everything was prepared as ordered and the food was enjoyable! Would definitely come here again, we had a great experience!
I took my mom and brothers here for lunch. The bang bang shrimp and boneless wings were delicious. I also enjoyed my buffalo chicken salad, but I felt they could have cut back on some of the chicken pieces. My fiancé enjoyed his rodeo burger and fries as well. We finished the meal off with a slice of cheesecake and snickers cake, both delicious. Due to lack of staffing, they only had one waitress who was also working the cash register, but she kept up with everyone very well and was quite pleasant. I always enjoy going here when I'm in the Stamford area.
Jesse is terrific waiter...took drink order as soon as guests arrived. Took order quickly, checked on needs st table several times, figured separate bills for table of 8 and even knows names of regular. Food is good and reasonably priced. Arrival of main course a little slow but restaurant was packed.
Our waiter, Jesse was awesome. And the food was great. The servings were rather large. But good for leftovers. We had the apple crumb new york style cheese cake for desert , and it was out of this world.
Absolutely the best restaurant we have ever eaten at. First of all it was a family oriented wonderful atmosphere. The owner went around from table to table meeting and greeting his customers. The service was fantastic. The food which at a restaurant is the most important thing was the most amazing part of the visit, from the portions to the taste, it was absolutely the best meal we have ever had. From the start to the finish absolutely perfect. I cannot say enough about this experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants fantastic food, service, and a great night out with your family. This has become our favorite restaurant in the area in just one visit. It was that amazing.
Moved to this area and have been impressed by absolutely nothing- until this evening. I was welcomed by very friendly staff, that treated me like family, and the food- tastes just like home!! WHAT a gem of a place in the middle of nowhere. Had a delicious and affordable cocktail. There is a great variety of choices on the menu and my two choices were so great!! Can not wait to try many more items! If you’re in the area for a trip or passing through, you will definitely want to stop here!!!
The pizza was very good, and the calzone was also great. Staff was very friendly. I was having a long day and was very tired I ended up forgetting my card and I live 2 hours away I called a few days later to find out they were closed untill Friday so I left a voicemail. The owner promptly called me back literally within a minute and was super nice and even offered to mail the card back to me so that I wouldn't have to drive 2 hours just to grab it, I will definitely be eating here whenever I'm in the area again.
Food was very good and large portions. Just wish we had been told the specials before ordering. Busy but everyone had a good flow going so was a relatively quick service for dinner.
I'm from North Jersey. Eating at an Italian Restaurant outside of the area, I was skeptical. But wow I was amazed. The food was delicious. I had the Eggplant Roulette. It was delicious. Our table of 6 enjoyed. Highly recommend. Bowling right next door was fun too.
We've gone to this restaurant a couple times, and everytime the food is amazing!! The desserts are all homemade, some of the best cheesecake (especially the lemon blueberry) and canolli we've ever had! The last time we were here the service was not good, and we were treated pretty rudely, and saw other customers treated poorly, but the food is good, and this is one of the only restaurants with good food in the area, that I know of.
First time there was last week. Busy for a Thursday night (9/12/2019); but, hardly no wait. Quick and responsive waitress along with good food made for an excellent experience.
It was so good last week, today (9/19/2019) I'll be ordering take out for our 37th year anniversary. Hope to have a long relationship with Vasta's...y'all should go and try it out if you haven't yet.
9/20/2019: Update, food was excellent again!!! If you haven't tried it yet; do it!!! Pizza will be next week.
I have been to there twice this month, their food is phenomenal. Their waitstaff is excellent and their prices are reasonable. A very good dining experience. Highly recommend them.
Drinks vary quite a bit between bartenders but only from good to strong so its ok in my books. Food is not what it used to be but I would still recommend it if you are in the area. Nice atmosphere and usually quiet inside unless the bar is hopping.

First time I ordered from them and it was absolutely delicious. Very quick service, the deliver man was so pleasant and professional. The pizza was better than any I've had in a long time, and the garlic knots were the best I've ever had (kinda sad I only ordered a half dozen instead of a dozen). Will definitely be ordering again.
Great meal. I had the linguine with red clam sauce and my husband had a medium mushroom pizza which was huge! Service was prompt and staff was friendly. Will definitely stop by there again.
