I want to start off by saying that the Madir is such a beautiful breathtaking Hindu Guru Temple. The structure itself was so impressive with so much detail and professionalism. Also, I was greeted with open arms which made my visit a very pleasant one. Can't wait to go back.

Firstly apologies for giving one star less to the place of worship.
Temple has mesmerizing views both day and night. It becomes more vibrant in night with changing colors. Unique architecture and artistic craftsmanship on all sculptures, pillars. Royal white marble floor everywhere with its own unique characteristics.
The only reason I took away one star was due to behavior of priests towards devotees and visitors was little rude. There are people from all backgrounds and those who are visiting Hindu temple for first time. They need little patience and explanation in understanding the culture. So please be welcoming rather rude in my opinion.
Everything else was fantabulous, wonderous, gorgeous experience for my family. Happy visiting and offering prayers.

Swaminarayana mandir in Houston Texas. The architecture and construction is awesome. It's full of white stone construction. They will open morning 9 am to 8pm. In between there will be a break. The temple is very clean and well maintained. They have enough parking lots also. All the Temple volunteers are very nice and very informative in terms of explaining the history of the temple and the temple guidance. You can see the temple outside pictures in the review. They are not allowed to take the pictures in side the temple.

Absolutely a gem in Sugarland. I found this place to be very peaceful despite being filled with lots of people. It was very different from what I am used to and I was thankful for the experience. The structures were all built in India and hand crafted and assembled in Houston (according to one of the guides.) It was amazing. It is open to the public to view. They also have a cafe and gift shop too. I would say visit if your in the area! Do be mindful that this is a place of prayer and worship and to be respectful to those who go here.

If you really want to see how nice temples looks like back in india then this is one of the best place to visit.
If you never visited the temple before and thinking to visit it once then I would strongly recommend to visit this place.
Also if you are visiting Houston and planning to visit NASA then this can be your evening place to come although please check the temple opening hours to visit it from inside. Even if time doesn’t-allow to see it from inside campus is open for longer time and you can still see it from outside which is also worth to visit.
We visited it on week before DIWALI which was also the first day of lighting, if you are planning on this day then don’t miss light show which was around at 7:45 pm along with lot of Indian food stall where you can buy and enjoy Indian food.

Like any other BAPS temple - it's beautiful. They took good care of many things inside temple. Work outside in progress - once done this place will be great.

Welcoming and warm place for anyone to visit. People from all communities and sects are welcomed equally. Enjoyed the majestic views, food and serenity of the temple. Must visit for Houstonians. Would definitely go again.
