Oliver's Lounge

Hadn't visited in a long time and when my regular liquor store was closed one night I remembered that OLIVERS used to sell package liquor. I phoned The tavern and a perky upbeat woman had answer the phone and informed me they still did. I was on my bike because my car was being repaired that night and headed that way. Initially walking into an empty bar I was greeted by that same friendly voice who I then found out was the bartender. It wasn't long before a handful of patrons trickled in one by one as I had just hit an unusual lul in business that evening the bartender informed me. Of the just under 2 hours spent there I experienced opportunities for conversation with interesting topics by friendly patrons as well as the server but also knew and if I had wished to sit and enjoy my drink in silence that that would have been respectfully permitted as well. Very reasonable prices and offered a wide selection of both well known brands as well as a few unique brands I hadn't discovered previously. I ordered a shot of Tennessee whiskey I was curious to try, which was uniquely exciting but for my purchase to take home I stuck with a more recognized brand I've consumed for quite a while now. Offered free snacks which I thought was a nice touch. There was also vended video games, pool tables, darts and a music box available but I enjoyed the company and conversations instead. A well vented smoking facility, which is mandatory for an option in my choice of tavern accomodations. I left this business please with my service the selection and accommodations of the facility and I'm pleased to report that this is business and be happy to recommend and will be visiting again. Kudos to management and staff thank you very much!
