Hook's Sushi

Volcano roll was awesome! Wasn’t too keen on the white dragon roll. The atmosphere is ok. The night we went there was only 1 sushi chef so it took over 30 minutes to get our food (at least they warned us.) Their ginger dressing for the salad was very good. They have a kids bento box with chicken nuggets that went over well the little guy in our group. He was disappointed they didn’t have ranch but used ketchup for his nuggets. This was our first time at this location. They have another Hook’s on 9th.

If you like asian fusion, you will like this place! There are a lot of different menu items and plenty of sushi rolls to pick from. I personally like very authentic asian food, as I grew up with an asian step mom. This is more asian fusion than authentic asian food. Still pretty good though. They did seem a little understaffed when I went though.

Excellent sashimi, also strongly recommend the sushi fries, which are fried seaweed wrapped rice. Good sake menu as well and plenty of options for those who don't enjoy raw fish. Edamame, Bibimbap (basically Korean ramen), Pad Thai, General Tsao's chicken... there's something here for everyone! Make sure to get some mochi ice cream or chocolate dipped fortune cookies before you go!
