Tijuana Flats

5 stars for the staff , dedicated ,attentive, and prompt. Decor is funky , cool in a sense. The manager is very attentive he was opening the door and taking trays. Very impressive. The food at least for me the burrito 2 stars very bland for me. Over all the great personalities in this establishment should be rewarded with a raise.

Ok. Google officially FAILED me on this one. How this place had 4 stars was beyond me. This was the WORST Mexican food I think I have ever had. It was completely Americanized and bland. If this was served as a school lunch there would be a revolt. Do. Not. Eat. Here. EDIT: I’ve never really had bad Mexican food at a restaurant before. The typical critique is that the portions were too small. But this place was genuinely bad. I worked at a prison for 10 years. The food quality was equivalent to prison food. My guess is that they pack this food with MSG. My family all complained of having dry mouths later that night/ the next morning which is a common indicator of food laced MSG. This HAS to be the reason why so my people “like” this food. Either that or Tijuana Flats must offer discounts to their customers for good reviews. Something doesn’t add up.

Used to be a great joint. The past 5 times the service, portion size, and food quality steadily declines. Call in supposed to be ready at 9:23, wait until 9:53 for food to be ready. Got home and missing items. Keep giving another try, hoping to be like I remember it over the years, but instead it continues to decline.

We called ahead our order at 3:00 pm for a 5:30 pickup. I was VERY clear that I would be picking up my kids and needed it at 5:30 since I was HOSTING a dinner and had guests arriving at 6:00, I am sitting here in the parking lot at 6:00 and my husband was told it is still NOT ready and calling ahead doesn’t actually matter! They have put together 3 walk in orders ahead of us as he waits. This is the most horrific customer service. We had another issue here about a month ago and opted to give this a try, I don’t know if it’s the lack of caring or poor management.

Update. They have added some new items but also taken away some staples like enchiladas. My daughter has some dietary restrictions and can only have soft or crunchy corn tortillas. I was sad that they would not substitute soft corn tortillas for taco Tuesday or flautas. This will effect future visits. I like Tijuana Flats it's always been a go-to for the family. They have fast service. The food is consistently the same. Their prices have gone up quite a bit so you want to make sure you go on Taco Tuesday.

Great food at good prices, love the mega chimichangas! Excellent hot sauces, it only hurts for a little while! Taco Tuesday great day for TACOS, one of their specials days. Food hasn't disappointed.
