The most authentic Japanese sushi restaurant on the west coast. It's where you go to enjoy sushi you've never eaten in your life. I get the Omakase which is more than 15 different sushi tasting experiences. The sushi chef will stand in front of you and make each piece while giving you an education about the fish and it's unique condiments. You never need to put soy sauce on anything. Everything is perfect just the way it's made. Every time I go, it's a different experience based on the seasons and the type of fish that are available. Here's a few from my meal tonight. The one that looks like steak is Kobe beef from Japan! I also get the Sake pairing, which is a perfect compliment to the fish served. They are booked days in advance and they don't accept walk ins, so you need to plan in advance. Their maximum capacity is 11 people! Most of the people I see eating here are well dressed couples who are enjoying their first Omakase experience. You have to be a gamer to eat some of the dishes! Ha!

The sushi was exceptional and Art serving the Sake pairing was a lot of fun. We do sushi all the time and this was a really unique experience. Well worth it.

One of the best birthday dinners I've had. TWICE. I've been here two years in a row now for my birthday and both times have been amazing. Free parking right behind their restaurant where it says customer parking only. We made a reservation for the omakase shogun with the sake pairing. I was honestly SO full from this meal. My husband had to help me finish my food and sake lol. Each dish was amazing and plated beautifully. Arte explained each sake that was paired with the dishes. He was fun and energetic throughout our meal. Chef Rexley explained where the fish from the dishes came from as well as explained to us the other non fish dishes. This was our first time having uni and it was so good! There was also another chef/assistant? that prepared some of our dishes and he was great too (sorry didn't catch his name!). One for the best meals and experiences I've had at a restaurant. Honestly, every bite was delicious. A lot of care was taken in our meal and service. Highly recommend for a memorable evening.

What an incredible experience. The fish you taste truly redefines what fish are supposed to taste like! The flavors are simple and bold and perfectly balanced. The people working are so knowledgeable, thoughtful, attentive, humble, and extremely kind. There is nothing like this anywhere in the area. So special. Thank you very much, Sushi Sho Rexley!

This is probably some of the best sushi you can get stateside. They follow the traditional omakase-style, so do not expect California Rolls or Mango Tango Rolls. The portions are "small", but there are a lot of plates coming your way--so be prepared! Everything served was spectacular. My favorite dishes were the hand roll and the unagi dish! The price is up there, but if you can, treat yourself to this!

Omg. Amazing sushi place in St Petersburg. I'm im love. Haven't had sushi this good since Japan. They also feature pieces from other places such as New Zealand, Hawaii, and Washington, but the menu does change. You can tell the quality of sushi is fresh and it tastes delicious. Some pieces are just lightly brushed with light barrel aged whiskeys, lime/orange zest, or scallions. The chefs do a great job of explaining the food as the dishes come out. There's no more than 10 seats so be sure to make reservations. Our stay lasted about 1.5 hours for a party of 4. We chatted with the owners and learned that they are two brothers from Hong Kong that have been working in the food industry for a couple of decades and they love Japanese food. The price is definitely $$$ but you are paying for the experience and food. Great for intimate and special occasions. So happy. Would continue to come here when in the area and when funds are available to do so. :)

This quaint omasake bar is pretty good for St. Petes and comparable to some of the other michelin starred establishments in NYC, SF and LA. The freshness, variety and quantity (+15) of nigiri is very impressive. I took my parents here for Mom’s birthday and even she agreed that the quality was outstanding, and my dad enjoyed every piece without any addition soy sauce. Bravo!
