Dinner tonight was awesome! We had a large party (11) Service was spot on. Jordan, our server was personable..gave a casual and informative history of the area and of the Casino. Food was delicious..highly recommend the grouper cheeks. Callaloo dip was tasty. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food..from fried chicken & waffles to buttermilk pie. Highly recommend and will definitely return!!

Had lunch there today, our first time there, and I am so impressed! We started with the muffin and biscuit basket and the three dip sampler... those jalapeño corn muffins were to die for! I really enjoyed the smoked mullet fish spread as well! Then we split the ribs with the coffee onion b-ball sauce, OMG The meal fell off the bone and the sauce had so much flavor and uniqueness, I fell in love. The Mac n cheese was soooo good too! The service was great too, the bartender was so sweet and took great care of us! Also met either the owner or manager and he was very kind too. This is our new favorite spot to eat now! I can’t wait to go! Definitely a place to try guys!

I can’t say enough good things about this place! I went to hear my friend Eddie Garrido play, the food was an afterthought. But my stars as soon as I saw the menu my mouth started to water. Had the chicken pot pie as an appetizer and it was hands down the best pot pie I’ve had. And just the perfect size for two to share. I had the fried chicken and my companion had the meatloaf. Both delicious. I’ll be returning to try their Brunch.

Absolutely amazing food AND service AND ambiance in this beautifully restored Manhattan Casino building. The owners have kept to the historic feel of the location, but have gone above and beyond on the incredible food offerings and the diverse hiring of the wonderful staff. My BFF and I dined there Saturday night, March 31, and had a wonderful booth with a very attentive server. Andrew, the F&B manager, came by to introduce himself, too, and I was able to catch the eye of Chef Gary Moran as well as running into Mario Farias. We shared a special spring roll of the evening with beef and it was to die for! Followed by sharing a Cesar salad, which was fabulous and plenty for two! We BOTH wanted the same entree which was the Grouper Cheeks, surrounded with tempura green beans and every bite was heavenly. Reasonably priced. Great parking and can't WAIT to return! Hats off to Ramon, Mario, Vincent and Gary!

My family and I had a great experience at Callaloo. The teenagers had Chicken & Waffles, and Chicken Pot pie. They enjoyed every bite. For me the Fried Green tomatoes were the best of the best and the Eggplant was delicious. The service was on point and the host was the Host with the most. Great place, good people, good food and great time.

I love this place.. I really do..went there for brunch today( 3rd time ) Great food with wonderful personable staff. Nice live jazz playing. Always leave knowing I have had a good meal. One disappointment on today’s visit however. I had been dreaming all week of the Callaloo greens. And much to my disappointment they weren’t on the menu... crushed!!! Hopefully it’s just a temporary thing and it will be back on menu soon... keep up the good work!!!

Yum! We had the Maduros y Platanos and the Fried Catfish, both we’re great. Both meals could’ve been slightly hotter when served (maybe a plate warmer would help?). We loved the atmosphere. Snazzy enough for a nice dinner out, but casual enough to dine in shorts and sandals if that’s what you’re already wearing. I thought the shared dinning room with Pipo’s was a fantastic use of space (Pipo’s is open for lunch and Callaloo is open for dinner). The staff was great! Value was good. The dishes were tasty and the ingredients were quality; the servings filled us up, but didn’t leave anything for leftovers (but knowing most restaurant portions, I’m glad the extra food isn’t going to waste).

Where do I start. First. They have jazz. So boom. Second the ambiance is amazing. Layout Is very linear, to no fault of their own. Service was attentive. Now let's talk food. We had a larger party, with kids from 2 months to 6 years, so we dabbled in many appetizers. The only downfall I saw was no kids menu. Basically mac and cheese is the only real suitable meal for a child. However. We sprung and got adult entrees and they were great just large. The food. Is honestly some of the best food I've had in a very long time. I've traveled the world and tried it all. Cant wait to return.

Great atmosphere in the old Manhattan Casino building and a welcome addition to the South 22nd St. District. The staff was warm and friendly, Heather served (and spoiled) us like a true veteran. She knew every aspect of the menu and walked us through it. We decided on the meatloaf served with a coffee onion gravy, no ketchup here, along with garlic mash potatoes and fresh green beans. We also had the fried catfish. Oh, and perfectly crispy fried okra! Both dishes were delicious and generous servings. For dessert the chocolate ganache pie was a slice of pure decadence. The owner, Ramone, graced our table along with Andrew, the F&B manager. Andrew showed us the old casino ballroom and told us of future plans. Overall an excellent dining experience with great southern comfort dishes with a twist. Add a gracious staff, management, and owner, and it makes for a great dining experience. We'll be back SOON!

So far I have not had one bad thing. The Grouper Cheeks are perfect. You must try the Hillbilly Hummus. Also one of the best Whiskey Sours I've had. The service is on point.

Great food and service! Rare today! Reasonably priced. Nice decor. Could definitey become a 'hot spot' in St. Petersburg!! This past Monday evening, we called them to let them know that members of One City Chorus, about 35 of us, would be stopping by for fellowship. They were prepared and organized for us. It made for a great night!!!

I had the extreme pleasure of dining here last night. Our server, Sunny, was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive! And man oh man the food was great! I can't wait to come back and try one of the many other amazing menu items and am super excited for the start of their Jazz Brunch on Sundays.

Excellent all around! Beautiful ambiance, wonderful service and the food was Outstanding! I couldn’t believe how they managed to be so spot on considering it was opening night when we went with a group of 8. Thank you Callaloo! Did I mention they had also live music, smooth jazz, perfect for the venue.

Decided to try this new addition to the culinary scene in St Pete yesterday for lunch. Though its a new place, they were involved with Dining for Life! Perfect opportunity to see what they are about! Lunch was a cup of their Crab and Corn Chowder and their Treasure Island Salad with the addition of Chicken! Both were wonderful! I hope to go back in the evening soon for something a little heartier and the menu promises they will delivery. I enjoyed it so much, I'm taking a friend for their Sunday Brunch! Did I mention the service was impeccable!

The food was incredible and different. We tried multiple appetizers and entrees. Service was great! We were checked on more than once by the Manager. My dad who owned over 25 restaurants always said you can get people back with average food and great service but will lose them if you have great food and bad service. well You guys hit both out of the park. GREAT job we will be back.

The St. Petersburg Downtown Partnership recently hosted a membership lunch at the Historic Manhattan Casino Event Hall & they did a fantastic job! Not only was the food amazing & venue beautiful, as to be expected, but the event planning team and waitstaff was very professional and flexible as we had a few things change last minute. Definitely recommend for any event with a large group!

This space is very nice for small events. The service staff worked diligently to ensure the guests were treated well. The room is clean and the wood floor is beautiful. I was there as a photographer and the room could have used more directional light toward the area where they set up to podium. This area is one of the darkest in the room and tough to shoot without using a flash. If they fix that it will be a 5 star venue (from the photographer perspective). See sample photography.

This place is Amazing! The interior has been redone first class. It is very inviting, bright and cheerful. Each of the chefs operate from here and some mobile locations. Just stopped in to check it our. I want to come back with a group of friends. Enough variety of foods to satisfy most people's tastes.
