A bit over rated. I got the plantain pork sandwich. It was unique but a bit bland. I had to ask for extra sauce to add a little flavor. The wings were a major disappointment. Although they were freshly fried, they were also very bland. Need a little seasoning !🧂

A otherwise delicious and generously portioned salad is unfortunately ruined by having to pick out a substantial amount of rotten lettuce. I thought perhaps the lettuce was just wilted on account of them putting hot chicken on top, but the rotten lettuce was even on the bottom. It would be perfect if it was just made with fresher lettuce.

Smileys Deli is a local staple this is prolly the best "UNOFFICIAL CUBAN SANDWICH" in stpete!!!! 1sandwich can feed a small family, the salads are like 8lbs they literally weigh the meat before they make the sandwich lol this is a hidden gem in stpete all the locals go over here! come hungry and leave beyond full lol rip jasmine! they did get new owners last year but everything remains in tact :D

Stopped in after noticing the deli while I was driving down central. Said to myself “man that looks like it’s probably a really good hole in the wall.”
Tried 4 types of their empanadas, all amazing.
Had a “Tony Montana” as well and wasn’t disappointed with it. The guy upfront hooked us up with pork, and rice with beans while we waited for our food to come out. That was amazing by itself. Definitely will be back to try out more of their menu. Great spot 👌🏻

I just walked in and asked for a Turkey Cuban and walked out with knowledge of this family owned business and as well I met a young man with a Bright Future in baseball. I'm in love with this place already. Best of success to Smiley's Deli. The sandwich is by far the best I've had ever! Literally... You're missing out if you haven't tried this place. So glad I found it.
