City Drive-in - Spruce Pine - Photo album

I’ve been eating here since I was a kid & even though I’ve since left the area, I always find myself coming back “home” for a cheeseburger all the way and a peanut butter milkshake! Also, the chuckwagon sandwich is an underrated gem. 10/10 would recommend!
Great historic hangout spot modernized to accommodate a crowd! Live music, local beers, full bar, diverse menu, curb service, indoor seating, a bar, outdoor seating, a beer garden style area, day events, and more! This place really has it all!
A little pricey but worth it. Great environment
The food was really great. The hamburgers reminded me of my childhood, wrapped in white deli paper, dripping off your elbows good. The only negatives I can say was the service was slow (for a Monday night and not busy at all) and the bar tender was sitting at a table drinking a beer.
My wife and I loved this place! The food was great, the dogs on the patio were awesome, and we came on a fantastic night with live music. We've traveled everywhere, and it's off the beaten places like this that we always remember most.
City Drive-in has the very best of the classic cook out burgers. We decided to take the hour and a half drive to Spruce Pines just because when you want a city Drive-in burger there is no substitute. The Chuckwagon is a go-to, but I highly recommend the Mushroom Swiss burger. We sat at the outside
Absolutely awesome place to stop for lunch. Recommended to us be one of the nearby residents. Started out life as just a drive-in, but has recently expanded to include a small bar/inside seating area. Food was excellent and service was really good too. One of the odd aspects of the setup is that the
This place is awesome. The woman who served us was great, she was enthusiastic, welcoming and extremely helpful all very rare traits in todays world. The food was great as well, this place suprised us every step of the way. It really shows that the owners care alot about their business and client
Server was super nice. It started to get really busy after we had put our order in. Took over 45 minutes to get 2 cheeseburgers and fries yet the regulars that ordered at least 20 min after we did for their shrimp and dinner items before us. We ended up having to take ours to go as we had someplace
I worked there for a long time when I was younger. I just revisited for the first time in probably 12 years. Different people with a little bit different food, but overall I was very pleased with both the service and the food. Lots of great memories here also. Highly recommend this place.
I recently came here for the first time. I ordered the bbq, jalapeño poppers, and onion rings, all of which were the delicious and I will certainly be ordering again. Just typing this is making me crave going back there.
Great drive-in fare if you need some 🍟 fries, 🌭 hotdogs or 🍔 burgers. Get the hamburger sub which is basically 1.5 pounds of meat right in your face-hole. Not many drive-ins left so get it while you can. They do have decent ♿ handicap accessible 🅿️ parking and 🚻 restrooms as well.
This place was busy! The atmosphere was very chill and relaxed. Enjoy the delicious burgers, quesadillas like my family did or beef tips like I did with a beer and enjoy the live band! Such a great way to enjoy an early summer afternoon!
We just had beers but the ambience and service was great. Stop in and give this little town business some support.
Cool vibe, good service, decent bar selection and decent food
Great place for food, drinks, and live music. Always a good time 😄
10/10 everything was great. Service was exceptional. Reasonably priced. Do not come to Spruce Pine without getting a burger and beer at this place.
