Its It's pretty much what you expect. Nice, attentive, but underpaid workers. The food isn't labeled well, which was an issue when our little ones got spicy chicken that looked normal. The food was hot but isn't great because it's cheap buffet stuff. The chairs are all sticky (so gross). The price wasn't worth the visit, although the little ones eat free because they're under 2 or 3 (can't remember their specifics on that rule).

Food and salad bar is good, but not outstanding. Clean tables were available for immediate seating and staff was attentive and they were prompt with beverage refills. The reason for a 3 is its a Shoneys and their popularity and overall taste is not up to date.

We took our granddaughters for brunch Saturday morning. They were pretty busy, but we were seated quickly and the breakfast bar was hot and fresh. The staff was friendly and efficient. It was a great place to take the girls because there was lots to choose from. We were able to relax and enjoy breakfast with the grandkids while someone else did the dishes, at the same time, feeling like we were in a cozy, home like atmosphere.

My daughter and I came for lunch before court. Our waitress never smiled and was slow at removing dishes when we were done. The buffet was ok, but not impressive. The fruit and dessert area had a large fly enjoying things.
I don't recommend eating here and won't be back.

Our waitress was great but the food want worth the price..my country fried steak was the same thickness as a hamburger patty from Mcdonald's. And the mashed potatoes where like paste. It was ridiculous 2.49 for a drink and 2.49 for a fries that was considered a small.. Won't be going back. But the service was great..

As many fond memories as I have of eating in this very restaurant growing up I must say as an adult Shoney's as a chain has not changed much. In some ways that is good. In some ways bad. I would love to see them offer better quality ingredients with gluten free options. But it is a Southern staple and sometimes (every once in a blue moon) especially amid the hustle and bustle of the holiday season I find myself resorting back to it but predominantly for the breakfast and salad bars. Good place to sit and chat over coffee... and no it's not gourmet.... but it is simple, small town comfort. For out-of- towners it is conveniently next door to a locally owned hotel, Springfield Inn, as well so walking is a breeze.

It was really good. The buffet was clean the food was hot and we went between meal services around. 3p lobby and booths clean and free of debris on floor. The waitress was attentive. And Lowell berkowitz ate all his veggies.... Ya shoneys

Today is Sunday and after church I went to Shoney’s for lunch expecting a normal, southern, meal. I found fried bologna, mash potatoes, Mac and cheese, unidentifiable soup and I think corn. The only thing I would eat was the mash potatoes and gravy, a little salad,and a very little bit of Mac and chees. The salad was fine but mac and cheese...not that great so I went back up to the bar to get a little bit more of the potatoes, came back and found that my one half drunk cup of coffe was gone as was my silverwear and napkins. So I had to go back up, get my table wear and a napkin and did not ask for another drink. Why my table was cleared without giving me a check i have no idea. So, when asked how my meal was I said I was unpleased...and the girl gave me a 50 cent discount....never will I go back. I would rather go to OCharleys, pay twice as much and get a decent meal with proper service.

I loved Shoney's, but every time I go to the Springfield location, I am reminded of why I can only tolerate it once or twice a year. The management is terrible, having absolutely no people skills or empathy, especially when the food is served cold or incorrect. The servers try, but are only as strong as the managers allow them to be, which isn't great considering prior sentence. This location needs an overhaul, beginning at the top and trickling all the way down!

Best experience ever!!! Friendly staff, great food. Wonderful customer service, clean restaurant. Enjoyed the seafood buffet and 2 hot fudge cakes!!! Manager was exceptional!!! Have missed Shoneys as We are from Georgia and ours closed!!!

This is directed to corporate office I believe about every booth has a hole or rip in it somewhere. One has a big wide rip just about the width of the seat. There is two windows in the front of the building that you can't see out of them because the gas substances on each one is gone. This has been like this for a few years. A company should take more pride on how their establishments look.

Visited Springfield shoneys the building needs major cleaning and has a smell of a musky odor when you walk through the door,was not appreciative of the fact that uncovered straws was placed on table not very sanitary and we was never offered more drinks

I visited this restaurant a couple months ago and paid with my debit card and left a cash tip. However, when I got my bank statement someone had changed the payment and added a $20 tip. I went in to the restaurant about a month ago and complained. I was told the district manager, Scott Young, would be getting back to me and refunding me the $20. I have yet to hear from anyone nor have I received my money!

Worst experience ever. The Manger was very rude to us. We waited an hour and 30 minutes for a steak, baked potato, and pancakes. Will NEVER go back. Also will be emailing corporate.

Shoney's. Thursday's are fried chicken day. That is the only time when you will find us in there. Food and service is ok, but not award winning. Buffet has a fair selection of stuff. <br/><br/>This restaurant has really gone done hill in the last 10 years.

I just had the breakfast buffet. We had a party of three and spent $26.00 and the food was cold,hard and just not good at all! The service was Ok but took the server way to long to get our drinks! I will not go back! I feel terrible after that greasy gross breakfast.
