Came here during a road trip from Kansas City to Chicago and was told by my travel partner about, “horseshoe sandwiches.” This is the first I’ve ever heard of or tasted a horseshoe sandwich and it was DELICIOUS. I chose Nashville hot chicken for my meat with spicy cheese sauce and it was flavorful
it came highly recommended so we tried it. Famous for their Horseshoe but honestly it didn’t really appeal to me. The menu has a great variety to choose from. Our waitress was super friendly. First time there and I tried the Horse-shoe. Was delicious! The white cheese sauce they use is way better than cheddar that normally is on a horse shoe. The staff are polite and provided fast service. Definitely can see why people love to come here.
Omg. What a wonderful find. Horse shoes and pony shoes at their finest. Originated in Springfield IL. Over 10 different meat choices and two choices of yummy cheese sauces. Went back several times. Quick service and great food. Pony shoes pictured.

This was one of my favorite meals of all time. There will be a time when I drive from the Chicago area just for this. All four of us got different pony shoes. Fantastic!
The Shepard’s Pie was delicious and the portion was large enough for two people . The Famous Shoes were great as well. We ordered the large and that portion is good for about 4 people. Great atmosphere as well.
