Spring Hill Diner

Wow, wow, wow! That's all I can say about this place! I tried their Caribbean menu today and I am thoroughly impressed. The chicken was seasoned and fried to perfection, I could taste the Haitian spices in every bite! The rice was the best Haitian rice I've had in a loonnnggg time! I'm so surprised to have found authentic Haitian food in Spring Hill and the owner has it down pack. Thank you Nyla, for giving me a taste of lakay!

I have no idea how I didn't yet come across the Gem. if you have never tried food from the islands, you are in for a treat. the rice alone is so addicting that you can eat it all day long and never get bored of it. I grew up with this style cooking and I have to stay they are on the right track. I salivate at the smell of the cuisine and the taste exceeded my expectations. I plan on taking my family here for dinner regularly. I was told calling ahead ensures short wait times, but the restaurant's atmosphere makes me not mind the wait.

Very clean restaurant. The menu is very diverse; everything from classic American to Caribbean cuisine. I tried the Griot Porc (fried pork), and it was delicious! All the ingredients are fresh and the flavor profiles are distinct, but not overwhelming. The owners are extremely friendly and hospitable, and the environment is warm and inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant
