400 Springs has limited serving hours, but we were there over a weekend so it was open for both breakfast and dinner. I found it a little odd that reservations were required, as the resort was not busy, but that may have had to do with staffing. The prices were a little high (for our tastes) but since we decided to share appetizers, it was reasonable for dinner. The stuffed mushrooms were wonderful - stuffed with cream cheese and sausage that is made in-house. And the crab cakes were also very good - almost all crab meat (as opposed to some others I've had that was mostly filler). Staff was friendly and attentive.

There house sausage and biscuits and gravy was the best I've ever had and that's my favorite thing to always get anywhere they have it. They where short staffed to we had to wait longer but they where super nice about it and our server did a fantastic job by herself

Probably the closest to a home-cooked breakfast you could get away from home. The farmers scramble was savory with its combination of freshly grated cheese, house gravy, eggs, hash browns and onions. Presentation was beautiful. Definitely coming back next time we visit. If you are staying at the resort or nearby, you MUST try the breakfast here. Staff was very friendly and kind too.

They are trying to be fine dinning but falling short. Had the Welsh Rarebit Fondue as an app. It was literally beer cheese soup and some stodgy bread squares. Not good. Sadly I ate it and filled myself up on that instead of the lovely Cuban pork roast. The dehydrated plantains were amazing. The couscous was tasty but overcooked. The veggies weren't cooked at all. Ordered the Bavarian Cream Napoleon for desert. The mille-feuille was soggy. They are asking for fine dinning prices for substandard food. Sadly, I would not go back.

I love this restaurant, usually eat breakfast on Sunday, I like the Farmers with house sausage, hash browns are so delicious. Finally had dinner there tonight, had the Cowboy strip steak, medium with Yukon mashed and vegetable medley. Perfection, portions are large. Pricey but worth it.

It was our first time visiting 400 Springs Restaurant. We went for breakfast after a friend referred us and we were very impressed with the whole experience. The restaurant is located on the House On The Rock Resort & Golf Course. The drive to the restaurant takes you through the winding road through the golf course and when you get to the restaurant, you see the wonderful Frank Loyd Wright architectural design. The breakfast menu was filled with several appealing options, the volume of the meals was aplenty, the servers were very polite, the prices were fair, and the food was very good. We looked at thethe dinner menu when we were leaving and that looked amazing too. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Generous portions, rightly cooked breakfast food, which we had for lunch. Their ham steak was good but I recommend their house sausage. It's probably among the best sausage patties I've tasted in the whole country!! 🏆🏆
