Stix Restaurant

Great atmosphere, entertaining hibachi chef, great with kids. The food was delicious and perfectly seasoned. I ordered the filet and scallops. Potions were sufficient. Although I don't like when pieces of steak which I feel are my portion are distributed into the plates of others, that always confuses me. Hibachi chefs seem to randomly portion things out. Especially shrimp. It's not like they obviously bring out extra and scatter it around. They sometimes give pieces to customers that didn't order that item. My steak was supposed to be cooked rare (it wasn't, however), so why give pieces of it to people that ordered their steak medium. When the medium cooked steak was distributed, I didn't get any of those pieces.

This was the worst experience I ever had with Stix and now I will not return I decided I wanted to come here for my birthday and now I wish I never did the food was not good it looks like it it was just thrown together I ordered the firecracker roll and didn’t get which I should’ve double checked but once I got home which is an hour and a half away I discovered this and I am extremely disgusted and I paid $45.19 for food I didn’t even want so much for a good birthday dinner I will not be returning!

I had been here over a decade ago and done the hibachi for a work function. This time I went with my fiancee and ordered off the menu. They didn't have many options for spicy curry but offered to have the chef add chili oil. It came out just right, and although spicy, you could taste the flavors of the curry vegetables and shrimp. The only downside is they are busy and there is a long wait if you don't make a reservation.

Normally their food is really good but tonight I ordered their onion soup to go. I noticed it looked kind of green tinted and the bag they put it in was really oily. I'm not lying when I say it was literally cooking oil with mushrooms floating in it. Straight oil. Gave me flashbacks of the dang BP oil spill. Completely insane.
