My husband and I stopped in on our way to Salt Lake for some water and coffee and really were not feeling the Utah vibe until Balloon Guy Brian came over and said hi. We noticed his cool hat and upon closer inspection saw it was made entirely out of balloons. He made me a beautiful corsage and a teddy bear and in the end gave me his hat. We chatted for a bit and learned that he was given permission by the owner to be on the premises as long as he doesn't ask anything of anyone. As social workers, it warms our heart to know that there are still people out there giving others a chance. Even if the gas was $10 a gallon, this place will always be our stop through town based on that one fact about the owner alone. Stop by, get a balloon and support this wonderful place. Maybe toss Brian a donation and make everyone's day! Do say no to the balloon blowing contest though unless you are fully prepared to A) look ridiculous and B) possibly pop a blood vessel in your eye and or pass out. Balloon guy can do two at once. Probably don't try that at home either.
The RV dump part is no longer free. It's $5 and the water to clean out the hose does t work.....but still we were able to take care of most of what we needed
Only individual women and men restrooms. Clean and lots of snack and drink options. Friendly staff.
I’m not sure who was working there around 6 pm the Sunday before Memorial Day, but the young man appeared to be of middle eastern descent.
I wish I would have taken the time to get his name, as he deserves significant recognition in my opinion. I came in while in the middle of a phone conversation (yeah I was that guy - and I can’t stand that guy) and purchased a couple drinks and a bag of sunflower seeds. Of course I was distracted by my phone conversation and wasn’t prompt in getting my payment.
To be honest, I was expecting some type of subtle admonishment for being so rude with my phone conversation. Rather than be impatient, he happily bagged my items without saying a word AND placed a freebie styrofoam cup in my bag for a seed spitter. It’s so awesome to see people do their jobs so well and with pride.
To the manager: please give this man a raise, he’s well worth it.
About this place:
1)The coffee is subpar, even for gas station coffee (loss of a star)
2)It's basically a "head shop" which is even funnier because
3)The police, sheriff, and highway patrol hang out here A LOT
Otherwise, a normal gas station.
Quick stop of US Highway 6, nothing much elts to say. Minus 1 star for the stupid gas station TV.
