Coast Grill

Our first time on a quiet night turned out to be spectacular. Our waiter Louis was friendly and made recommendations everyone was happy with. All four of our group raved about their dish. The special was salmon and a lobster tail and fresh vegetables. The tail was a little dry but it was consumed. They have a NYC IPA from Coney Island and 5 other drafts. The facility is a large space with plenty of seating and large windows to see out. The bathrooms were clean as was the resturant. All four of us declared we'll be back.

Service was rushed despite a 60% occupancy. Ordered Steak Freitas medium rare $36. I got a 10oz almost raw low end, “allegedly, beef” steak that was 50% fat & grizzle served with a hand full of fries and 2 spoons of salad without dressing. Never asked if we wanted a second drink before showing up with the bill. At $15 to $20 a drink, I can’t imagine why they wouldn’t want you to have another? Server ran the credit card and took the ticket to view the tip before we even left! Nice location! Google should reset the Reviews since new owners took over a year or so ago! Consumers should sort reviews by most recent. The old owners earned great reviews. The fact they are now associated with the shortcomings of new owners is regrettable!

Came here for my graduation dinner. They brought everyone else’s food except mine and my friends. Were rude when I inquired. My friend was told his dish actually wasn’t available (after he had been waiting and everyone else finished eating ). Such a joke. They failed to give us dinner. Also comped us zero after the worst dining experience I have had in recent memory. Manager is really rude. We will not be eating here again !

We had a family visit to the Coast Grill and Bar and it was great. I should say fantastic. The bar tender Rob is amazing, the owner of this place is lucky to have him. We had the fresh Guacamole and salsa and it was fresh made, the New England Clam Chowder was delicious. The meals of Risotto di Frutti de Mare was amazing, the grilled Pillard, burger, and Penne all fantastic. So are happy we stop here for a meal

One of the worst restaurants experiences ever. Fisrt we were asked is this table good we asked for window table she said sure let me get that cleaned for you. Next thing we know someone is yelling at her and made us sit at a table in middle offloor. Keep in mind the place was almost empty when wegot therr.The menu said steamed and came out on ice. Hummm may need to add that too the menu. Waitress was rude. Took 15 to 20 minutes to get the check so we could pay to leave. I was never asked if I wanted anything to drink besides water. Our meals came out one at a time. The hungriest one at the table got their food last. The seafood tasted like fish water. Worst seafood I have EVER had.

Meandering along Noyak Road, you will happen upon a great restaurant, The Coast Grille. Decorated in oceanic tones and offering views of the marina, inlet, and Peconic Bay, sunsets here are particularly impressive. The owner, Pam Miller, greets you with a heartfelt welcome and makes you feel so glad you'll be dining here tonight. There are a good sized bar and ample seating. The two dining rooms look out and appear to be able to be separated for a private party without compromising views in either space. Tiny twinkle lights crisscross the ceilings making this a romantic spot and festive for friends to celebrate life. They have nightly specials and a menu that has interest and variety. Tonight's tempting appetizer choices included Oysters Rockefeller, Coconut Shrimp, Seared Scallops to name a few. We opted for our favorite, The Creamy Cream Clam Chowder. It is aptly named as the creaminess is not dense but more typical of what you'd expect from fine French cuisine. The touches of green onions add another welcomed dimension in flavor. Their Spicy Shrimp Curry Soup is a strong rival as well to savor. Previously, we have enjoyed their Cola Short Ribs and Paella. But tonight we opted for the marinated New York Strip Steak and Roast Half Chicken. The steak, cooked to perfection, included a mixed greens salad with a vinaigrette sauce that complimented both. The chicken was moist yet, the skin crisp. The French beans were tender and yielded to sharing the shallot butter along with the chicken. Just delicious. Regretfully, we left no room for dessert tonight but strongly recommend ordering any choice as all are decadent and presented artfully. The Chocolate Truffle Cake, Key Lime Pie, Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Sandwich are all family favorites. So add Coast Grille to your GPS, then sit back, enjoy a glass of wine, taking in the views and aroma. Pam will make sure you see not with just your eyes but with all your senses as that is what her vision brings to this dining experience.
