River Thai Cuisine

I was in the area and decided to try out River Thai Cuisine. The restaurant was pretty quiet and had friendly staff. I ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai (pictured below) and the Tom Yum soup. Both items came out within 10 min of ordering and were delicious; I particular liked the level of spice of the pad Thai (4/5). Definitely worth another visit.

So I tried a few different things from this restaurant and figured they're not great but it's okay they're not horrible. So I tried to call amari which didn't have any real taste to it other than fried crust that my kids said it tastes like chicken LOL. The wings that I got were actually really good. The dumplings I can go without them my daughter says she prefers the ones from the Chinese restaurant better the flavor is better. And finally the entree I purchased with shrimp again it was okay wasn't that flavorful, the shrimp still had their ends on them but overall I think it was just the lack of a mixture of flavors for me if I compare it to other Thai places that I've been to. Again it's far from a horrible place but they can do better.

The best thai food! I highly recommended the papaya salad, the duck tamarind, sweet n sour chicken with shrimp, beef sate, Kathy's Chicken special with mystical sauce and of course you have to get a Thai Ice Tea! The people who own and operate this place are so kind. Please do them and yourselves a favor and try them out! You will not be disappointed.

I had never had Thai food prior to my 30's with the exception of a trip to Georgia. Clearly the good people of Georgia can do some things well, but Thai is not one of them. River Thai was not my first experience with this food, but it was the best. I went here on the recommendation of a Chiropractor who had a friend who was a huge foodie. That foodie told the Chiropractor that River Thai had the best Thai food he had ever eaten and it surpassed any other placed by far. My favorite dish is the Pad Thai. it is fantastic, regardless of your choice of protein. I enjoy the curry puff appetizer. They are more than accommodating with the spice levels from "not at all" up to "oh my God, why did I ask for this?" I have never had a bad meal there. My wife, who has eaten far more Thai food than I have also has said that no one makes better Pad Thai. While I have primarily eaten in the restaurant, we have ordered take out from time to time. We have always picked up when ordering take out. The restaurant is clean inside, if not a little small, but it doesn't need to be large. The people are very nice. The only complaint I have ever had is not everyone at the table's food comes out at the same time. They will carry one or two dishes out at a time. This has never been a personal problem that took away from my enjoyment, just a little quirk of this particular place. I absolutely recommend it and if my family ever wants Thai, this is where we go.
