Ordered the cheese, egg, and bacon (on the side) griddle sandwich and the tuna melt. Pretty decent offerings and enjoyed it. Not sure I'd come out of my way to try this place again, but if you're in the neighborhood and looking for comfort food, this place won't disappoint. Doesn't seem to be very busy so should be quick to order and dine.

Unique concept with grilled cheese and cereal options. Service is great and a fun place to just go and hang out also with a TV and old school video games. Not sure if they still offer the eating challenge but that's also a fun experience (I failed miserably). Great local option and fun for kids.

Very unique place selling some of the most delicious grilled cheese sandwiches! They also have a cereal bar which I've never seen before. Simple decor and good to bring kids.

Love this place. Great place for old fashioned cereals and the Monte Cristo is amazing. Feeling hungry? Add a side of tater tots. Family owned and operated, this place is a gem in the heart of South Pasadena.

Finally got to try this place out after hearing about it for such a long time. I came here with my friend and yelper Francine (who had already eaten here once) at around 10:30 AM on a Tuesday morning. I have to admit, the place did not look like anything I pictured in my head. I even had a dream about this place the night before I came here, and I guess I pictured it to be a very clean, well-lit and bright place with grilled cheeses and bright tomato soup everywhere. It was kind of empty, a little dreary and gloomy due to the lack of people inside. We were greeted by a very nice employee who told us to take our time (which we did) before ordering. After looking at the menu, I decided to make my own grilled cheese. It's $3.75 and you get your choice of bread and two kinds of cheeses. If you want to add anything else, it's additional money. I made a Swiss and Pepper Jack grilled cheese sandwich on dark sweet wheat bread, and I added turkey to the sandwich (which was an additional $1). My friend picked the "Pesto Perfecto" which has Mozarella Cheese, pesto and tomatoes on sourdough bread. She added turkey, I believe. After ordering and sitting down at a high chair by the window where we could do some people scoping, we were happy to find that our food had arrived fairly quickly. I was surprised by the darkness of the dark sweet wheat bread. It was almost black! It looked charred, but it was really good. However, my sandwich was a little thin, especially in comparison to my friend's. We ended up eating half of each sandwich. I definitely liked my friend's sandwich more. Not only was there more flavor, but it was more filling! My sandwich went down really easily. (I felt I could complete their six sandwich and cereal bowl challenge! aha probably not..) There was a lot of cheese in my sandwich, and the bread was crispy, but it wasn't anything special. The cheese did ooze out of the sandwich and create cheese strings, which was awesome. My friend's sandwich was really great (due to the pesto!) and I loved the sourdough bread. It was crispy and grilled perfectly. The tomato and pesto worked well and complimented the cheese in the sandwich. Super crispy, melt in your mouth, wonderful deliciousness - the best grilled cheese ever! Really wanted to try the cereal, but just couldn't bring myself to pay $3.75 for four cereals/mix-ins (where milk counts as one mix-in) when I can eat cereal at home for a much cheaper price. They do have some pre-set cereal bowls already concocted which should pretty interesting. The mix-ins are interesting, too such as fruit, nuts and grains, syrup, different kinds of milk and sweet treats (marshmallows, circus animal cookies, etc.) I'll probably just stick to the grilled cheeses. I think the prices are very fair for the grilled cheeses. Although it is quite simple, you can customize however you want. Really want to try the Apple Munster (munster cheese, apple slices on dark sweet wheat bread) and the M.O.P. (provolone cheese, sautéed mushrooms, grilled onions on sourdough bread) They also have oatmeal and yogurt parfaits which you can customize as well. There are sides, too like tater tots and fries, soup ... mmm! I think the concept of Mix 'N Munch is great :) If you love grilled cheeses, this is definitely the place to try!

I love this place. I went for lunch earlier today, and the sandwich I had was delicious! A word of caution though, be careful when getting in the couch under the TV, it's one of those really deep ones. You might find it hard in getting out of it. On the other hand, it's really comfy!

This store was such a surprise when I first saw it. I thought that it would never succeed. However, after just a couple visits, I realized that this store had a magic to it. Its fun atmosphere and delicious grilled cheeses create an environment that makes you... happy.
