Cafe Bonjour

Cafe Bonjour is a charming little bistro with inside/outside table options, a quiet and pleasant atmosphere, and French-speaking staff. I ordered a mimosa and an omelette with cheese, tomato, and spinach. It was served with a toasted baguette, fresh fruit (sliced bananas and strawberries, no purple grapes or underripe, tasteless melons, yay!). Butter and jam were neatly placed in a separate dish on the side. I think the mimosa was just a little bit weak, but it was obviously made with fresh-squeezed orange juice and that is a big plus for me. This was my first visit today. I'm sure I'll be back!

The food is ok. The steak and fries are not the best in town but is definitely the most expensive in town for lunch. I ate once just to make sure if it was the best steak. Doesn’t worth the price. The deserts are great specially the concord cake. I avoid going there because I don’t like the customer service. The female owner needs some lessons on how to be nice to people. Maybe she should stay in the kitchen.

When this place closed temporarily at the start of the pandemic, I almost cried. Now they’re open again and *thankfully* making their ridiculously delicious 3 cheese and ham sandwich with frites, which I can’t go too long without eating. Owners & staff are so friendly and welcoming, and the baked goods are to die for (if you can manage to buy one before they sell out). My favorite neighborhood spot.

The restraint offers well done food of high quality. From my experiences I had a chocolate croissant which was flaky, fluffy and truly delightful. For the main meal I enjoy a croque monsiuer which was prepared rather well and full of flavor. I would recommend for many to try the sandwich with egg. A downside to it was the sides however. The French fries were plentiful but not of high quality which was a sad contrast as all other products from this establishment are the of high quality. For desert I had the lemon tart which was light, tasty and had spectacular plating. The final product enjoyed by this establishment were the French macaroons. These macaroons were the perfect temperature and taste. While low in variety it makes up for it more in its taste. As someone Who has been to France these macaroons are leagues above many prices. Final thoughts: I recommend visiting and having trying it. While I have only visited this establishment twice I have found it to be pleasurable with friendly and attentive staff as well as amazing prices
