Came to Tahoe for the first time and was craving Thai food. Didn't want to eat too close to the Marriot village area because it's impossible get reservations that don't have a 45 min wait. So we drove a little further down and found Orchids. We were impressed by the food, it was so tasty. 4 stars for the service because they didn't answer the phone. They will make food without fish oil per request. Secondly, something that's good to know is that they don't serve alcohol or let you bring it in.

The place isn’t as busy which made it easy to order food and get our food out at a decent time. The price and taste of the food was on par with each other. Not overly price for its good taste. I had the papaya salad with a level 2 spicyness and that was a good kick to my mouth. I can handle my spice, but I’ve had other level two spice and they aren’t as spicy as this place. So be careful about your spice level. Also had the Pad Thai, not bad at all. It was delicious. I also ordered the spicy basil with an over easy egg with it and it was good. I recommend you to order that together and ask for some red peppers with fish sauce and pour it all together with rice to eat. That was delicious! I do recommend this place to try!

I had a wonderful time here. I like how the staff is kind and down to earth. They were able to meet my experience so authentic. I added a fried egg and they knew to bring out the home made spice with fish sauce for me to add on to complete the padkrawpow dish! Thanks for making a great experience to dine with you.

The food here is amazing! We came two nights in a row during our vacation! We loved the crab rangoons! Seriously. You must order them as your appetizer! And we loved the yellow and mango curry. The server recommended the mango curry. We also tried the pangang and avocado curry. All were so good! Great service, Beautiful location and ambiance was peaceful.

Everything we ordered was very good tasting. Best Tom Yum soup I’ve ever had. The rice and pad sew were tasty, but slightly on the sweeter side. Overall we had amazing Thai food and would come back here if back in the area. Unfortunately they still do not have a license for liquor or BYOB so be prepared for this.

Long time Thai restaurant at Hills Shopping Center. Restaurant appears to have a turnover in Lunch Crew or ownership. Great Thai Food especially curry dishes. Basil and coconut amoras in entrees. Request Crispy Tofu at time of order. Order Curries at 3 or 4 star.

The thai basil fried rice and red curry were yummy. The waitress informed that 3/5 is too spicy, which is true bc the 2/5 is spicy as well. Great price, great service, good taste!

Best thai in Tahoe. They are consistent. We love the other places but the food is different every time you go. This place has amazing flavor. Must try the spicy basil plates

Dropped by for lunch and wasn’t disappointed. The fish cake was a tasty appetizer to start with. The Hawaiian seafood soup was great to have on a cold day. Taste was ok. Never seen pineapple being used in this dish and could have been more sour flavor. Rama Curry was full of peanut flavor taste. Parking is available on premises.

Vegan friendly!! Menu says that most items can be made vegan, just make sure to ask. I had the green curry and it was great. We had a large/challenging group with kids and dietary restrictions and the staff was so kind and helpful with getting us all what we wanted! Only negative was that food took a long time (45 minutes) but they did warn us that it would be a while when we ordered. Overall great experience!

Their crab fried rice is so good here! I heard from some other reviews that these maybe imitation crab but glad that its real, but not high quality crab meat used. The rest of the fried rice was very good including the eggs. The inside looked pretty nice as well with the coloured ceiling and the thai decor around. They also got outdoor dining with a homemade shelter with parts probably bought from the ACE hardware down the street. The servers were really slow to respond but eventually came around to everyone probably once every 20 minutes.

Don’t miss the crab fried rice with crab legs. Their Tom Kha is delicious. We also ordered their Pad Thai, and though it’s also tasty but our noodles were overcooked. Overall, a good Thai food option in South Lake Tahoe.

My dinner was great, and I have to say the Thai Iced Coffee was excellent. Staff was very friendly and made me feel at home, that's greatly appreciated. And the flowers on the table were fresh, a nice little touch. Thank you for a great dinner, I will definitely be back for some more of that coffee too.

We want to recommend this authentic Thai restaurant. Why? Because we've tried so many Thai food before from Thailand and USA. Some are aweful, some delicious, and some with FAKE flavoring from MSG. That's why we recommend you to try Thai dishes with the delicious flavors without MSG made by Chef Wan & Chef Nuna. They definitely know how to preserve the recipe from Thai Culinary Professor and be very consistent in the authentic flavor. When you have a chance to go visit, you possibly will get to meet the manager, Mutty. So many choices on the menu and can't decide? Mutty is always helpful to provide the best experience at the restaurant! Hope you will enjoy like we always do everytime when we visit Lake Tahoe! 🌲🐻🐾
