I love it when a restaurant labels its menu clearly for Vegan options. It makes life easier. We ordered vegan Pav Bhaji, chana masala and tandoori Roti without butter. I loved Pav Bhaji. The owner of the restaurant was very warm and made us feel very welcomed.

From out side it’s look very small place but in side a good big family hall. I think this one is Number 1 place in all Lake tahoe …Great customer service! Freshly made food! Very friendly service. You can tell that everyone who works here really cares…Nice place specially decorations is beautiful… Everything nice and clean. The new manager name Rajat is very talented, hard worker, full of knowledge . Thanks for such a great experience.

They were only serving buffet for $23.99 when we went there for dinner. My husband who's been vegetarian all his life said "it's not a glorious buffet but I'm really happy with the amount of veggie dishes they served". There were about six veggie dishes, two chicken, one fried rice and plain rice (aside from the desserts and salad, chutney. I really really liked the fried rice (doesn't taste like the usual biryani rice) and the chili manchurian. The saag paneer had lots of paneer (I have to say this because a lot of buffets we go to, paneer's missing most of the time). Yes it is kinda expensive. Amount came to $62 with automatic service charge of 18% and tax. But we got free eggless cake from the owner. Thank you 😋

Loved the food they served and the hospitality. We were welcomed with a smile. We were there to grab starter and loved whatever we ordered. Loved the papdi chat, Samosa chat, dahi poori and mix veg pakora. Loved the taste of the tea too. Must try once you are in Tahoe.

I felt that they were short on employees and it may take time to serve food. ! common guys”! you are in Tahoe and if you want food in 5 mins get something from mc Donald . Thanks to Nikki for serving amazing yummy spicy food in this cold weather ! If you don’t have patience and if you are “that” kind of guy who show desi attitude , go and show your attitude in some English restaurant 🥶

Had a great dinner! The service was good, multiple people asked if we needed anything. The garlic Naan was fantastic. Best we've had. My wife had chicken jalfarazi. I had lamb vindaloo. I ordered medium spice level, and it was spicier than expected. But fantastic flavor! Worth a return trip!

The food itself was amazing, probably the best Mushroom Mutter I've ever had! Highly recommend it with garlic naan. The service was also very nice, we got our food surprisingly quick! Clean and cozy restaurant too.
If you're in Lake Tahoe, I would absolutely recommend this restaurant :)

Around 2 miles from Marriott Timber Lodge, and beside CVS pharmacy. Buffet type Indian restaurant. If you come to South Lake Tahoe, and you want to try something different from your boring Mac and cheese and burgers, try this place. Good service and nice people. The place needs some windows or natural lights. I wonder what is that huge picture of waterfall that covers the whole wall? Anyway that did not affect my appetite, but it was a bit annoying. I will still recommend this place. 😀

This place has the best Mango lassi out of every place we have tried, the chicken tikka masala was full of flavor as well it is spicy if you order it that way I enjoy spicy food and got a level 4 and it was good the 5 would be too much for me so I’d say the average person would want a 2 or 3

I'm Indonesian my husband is Chinese.
He doesn't do much curry but he was OK for us to keep having Indian food because it was that good and satisfied.

The food was okay. Not really Indian. We ordered chilli chicken and biriyani. Chilly chicken tasted very bad. It was just fried chicken wrapped with chilly sauce. Biriyani was bland garnished with almonds and cheese which spoiled the taste. Not a great experience. Can try if u like americanised Indian food.

Indian has never been my favorite cuisine. In the 90's friends would drag me there because the options for vegetarians was as good as it gets in world before gourmet vegetarian fare. This weekend, Nikki's changed that for me. Super dishes, wonderfully spiced. The naan and rice were perfectly cooked. Overall, great personal service, fantastic food for carnis and herbivores alike. Next snow season, when I'm back In Tahoe, I'll be leading the charge for more lamb korma, chicken vindaloo and shrimp tikka masala.

Amazingly there's a halal Indian restaurant right on the coastal hub of South Lake Tahoe. Step in through these doors and you feel like you're transported straight into some restaurant in Chennai! The classic 20th century Bollywood music, colours and decor, the smell of South Indian curries (they do have North Indian cuisine too), the diverse people and the languages you hear around you... you would never guess all this is in a former logging town in a rural Californian countryside.
Prices are slightly higher than your usual Indian curry house, but then again this is after all in the very touristy part of Tahoe. Everything is a little pricier in this part of town. We opted for the lunch buffet and we weren't disappointed! Both North and South Indian dishes were featured in the buffet section --- creamy chicken tikka, kurma style curries, chaat mix, naans and yellow pulao rice, the wonderfully thick mango lassi --- everything was perfect. A lovely Desi delight in the middle of Tahoe.

The best Indian food around. Beautifully remodeled from a small hidden hot spot to a wonder full service restaurant. You will not be disappointed, try the buffet lunch an taste a bite of everything then go back for a dinner you will not forget.

Not sure what I LOVED more, the owners, the food, the service... we were in Lake Tahoe/California for a week..honestly we ate there every day (my husband Richard Spence does NOT eat any where but home.. Yes he cooks every day) between the soups that were made special to my liking, the buffets every day. The seafood, the curry goat, the curry chicken and the chai tea... absolutely delicious... not one meal was disappointing.... then comes my newly found friends Bu & Mita (owners) they say if you have a handful of friends in a life time you are very lucky... well I guess I'm very Lucky, I have two new friends who I can't wait to go back to visit (home away from home), and I hope they will take a vacation longer than 4 hours (very honest hard workers) to come visit Boston Massachusetts....HIGHLY RECOMMEND thank you so much...
