Izabella Ristorante Italiano

The experience at Izabella surpassed our expectations. The food is really sophisticated, what we didn't expect from looking at the restaurant. All the food we ordered was delicious, starters, main dishes (the photo I'm publishing is of half of the Scallops and Shrimp Risotto plate that we shared for two people), and dessert. The service was great too. I would definitely come back next time I'm in town.

I chose this place, after looking at some reviews on here. My server, Greg, was very knowledgeable and kind, and I asked him to help me choose between two dishes. The Grilled Blue Cheese Salad was smokey and tasty, and the blue cheese dressing was incredible! Greg helped me decide on the Salmon Oreganato, and it was so fragrant and delicious! I received a very large portion of salmon, and it was cooked perfectly! Excellent choice!

Was just here again 9/2023, it's a must go to place when in Tahoe. This is my favorite Italian restaurant, haven't had a bad meal here yet. Prior to this, it took us 6 years to make it back heren, today my friend and I had the Cesar salad, minestrone soup, portobello mushroom ravioli and the lasagna. Both excellent, the ravioli cream sauce is super rich, I can only have 1. I forgot to take a photo of the lasagna, but I had 1/2 left that i took home and took a picture. I we ent back the nwxt day for take out. In L.A., ny nice requested I bring her Spaghetti with meatballs. Its her favorite place too and compares every other place to this one and no one else comes close to how they make it. Other favorites : eggplant parmesan, carbonara, ravioli, creme Brulee and brownie was all amazing on their own. The calamari , grilled salad are great starts, the minestrone was more veggies than tomatoes, which was still delicious.

It was a beautiful place and restaurant. The food is tasteful especially the appetizers mushrooms and bread stick. A high price on food just to make awareness. I had the Alfredo ($21) and add chicken ($10) to complete my chicken Alfredo experience to compare with Olive Garden. Sadly my chicken was burnt and I can taste the burnt bitterness charcoal on my chicken. The paste taste good but overall, I think Olive Garden still my favorite place for Italian pasta.

Our second time to South Lake Tahoe and have to say Izabella exceeded our expectations. Walking distance to the Marriott with a relaxing and cozy vibe. Service was excellent. Everything from the appetizer to pasta were delicious and well prepared. Nice wine selection. I surely recommend the Frank Family Zinfandel as it was surely smooth.
