We literally went here twice during our time in Tahoe because of how good it was. The Gouda Mac and Cheese was incredible and the perfect dish for after a day on the slopes. The Pear and Gorgonzola pizza was also delicious. We got the brownie sundae for dessert. Everything was so so good, definitely recommend. đź‘Ťđź‘Ť

This pizzeria was incredible. They had Live music, cocktails/beer & plenty of scenery, The menu had So many options to choose from and you can make the crust gluten-free for an additional cost. We decided on the fire-roasted medley which was incredible and the hummus plate which too was like no other hummus we had tasted. The service was excellent. Highly recommend

Fantastic atmosphere and food at reasonable prices given its location and the quality of the pizzas.
Base Camp Pizza was our favourite meal in Lake Tahoe - so good we visited twice!
The pizzas are generously topped and delicious with a decent range of options - including vegetarian. They are a good size too with a medium enough for one very hungry person or two to share.
We recommend the Thai Chicken Curry and Mediterranean pizzas which were divine.
Although it seems expensive the pizzas are large so therefore shared. They also have cans of PBR for $4 which is a nice touch rather than spending $11 on a craft beer. The complimentary dipping sauces are a nice touch!
If you are looking for a restaurant option in Tahoe or considering coming here then I highly recommend it!

The location is perfectly between the ice ring and the lifts. So much to see and enjoy while eating great pizza and listening to some good music (live music)

Long waiting on Saturday dinner. We were told that we would need 1.5 hours in waiting list when we were at 5:45pm.
But fortunately we got two seats on bar tables so we just spent 30 minutes waiting.
Pizza was really good. Highly recommend the Base Camp pizza. The roasted peppers are great and amazing.

Let me start by saying that this is my on of favorite pizza restaurants I have been to in all my travels! It's a must when going to South Lake Tahoe, we absolutely love it during cold snowing winter nights. The restaurant has such a great ambience and atmosphere. I believe every night they have live music aswell. The Basecamp pizza, spinach dip and a draft of blood orange beer is our top combination! đź‘Ś recommended this place to anyone!

By far one of the best pizzas we’ve ever had. Everything was perfect. You can literally taste how fresh the ingredients are. The goat cheese on our veggie pizza was delicious and creamy. Great atmosphere. Live music. Happy hour drink specials from 2-4pm. Wonderful service. Live music. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Excellent!

I'm giving Base Camp Pizza in Lake Tahoe a 5-star review. The food, service, and atmosphere are all top-notch.
I started my meal with a pint of local beer, which was delicious. It was a light and refreshing IPA with a hint of citrus. For my main course, I ordered the make-your-own pizza with chicken, basil, and mozzarella cheese. The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside and doughy on the inside. The toppings were fresh and flavorful. I also ordered a side of cheesy garlic bread, which was perfectly cooked and garlicky.
The service at Base Camp Pizza is excellent. Our server was friendly and attentive. He made sure we had everything we needed and was happy to answer any questions we had about the menu.
The atmosphere at Base Camp Pizza is casual and relaxed. The restaurant is located in a charming log cabin in the heart of Heavenly Village. There's a large outdoor patio with a fire pit, perfect for enjoying a meal on a warm summer evening.
Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience at Base Camp Pizza. The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal in South Lake Tahoe.

Love this place! Great live music in the heated outdoor area. Bonus, they handed out blankets to us too. It’s right near the gondola so you can wobble your way over really easy after coming down the mountain.<br/>The pizza was excellent. The toppings were fresh and tasted great. The drinks were superb and the atmosphere friendly and lively. <br/>Definitely a must visit when in the area.

Base Camp Pizza is located in the heart of South Lake Tahoe City. Based on amazing online recommendations, we decided to visit this place on a Saturday evening and it was extremely crowded. We were asked to wait at least than half an hour, and looking at the lip smacking pizzas being passed around, we decided to wait!! The ambience of the restaurant is more like a diner. After almost around an hour we were seated. We were served free garlic fries, thanks to Yelp checkin! For dinner, we ordered a personal Thai curry chicken pizza and medium Fire roasted medley pizza. Both the items were served in around 15-20 min and tasted really good. Overall damage, around $45 which I thought was slightly overpriced. Definitely recommended for a one time visit though!!

Great Pizza, Great Atmosphere. The location, wait staff, and pizza were all deserving of the "thumbs up." I have read several reviews before going about this being the best pizza they had eaten. Although this will not be competing on my list of best pizzas I have had, it still was a solid pie. I was not as excited about the garlic fries, which had very little garlic taste and a lot of cheese. Also, avoid the desserts as well. The brownie is homemade, but warmed up in a microwave, while the cookie is cooked in the pizza oven, but comes out burnt.<br/><br/>Nevertheless, a solid pizza joint in South Lake Tahoe that will have me coming every time I come to the area. But just don't expect it to blow you away.

Great food and great service! The staff was extremely friendly from our hostess to our server. We had the Garlic Chips with pesto and the Base Camp Pizza and both were excellent. I'm looking forward to our next trip to South Lake so we can stop here again.

Really great experience here! The pear and walnut salad was amazing. We did a split on a large pizza, hands down the base camp pizza was the winner, the other was the Hawaiian. It was good, but definaty go with the base camp. We ordered the wings as an app and they were the worst wings we ever ate, don't waste your money on the wings!

We came I'm on a Tuesday night and the place was full! But we were seeted quickly and our waiter took our order. The food came out fast and hot! So good! We got the spinach dip and the BBQ chicken pizza. Really great pizza! Just wow! We will be going back.

You can't go wrong!. This place was highly recommended by the front desk staff as our hotel and his praise was completely on-point! This is a really great, comfortable spot to eat and drink after a day of exploring Tahoe. Sitting by the outdoor fire pit felt cozy and nearly lulled my girlfriend and I to sleep, despite the 20 degree temps! <br/><br/>For lunch, we started with a half order of wings and a Caesar salad. The Caesar was just fine, but the wings were amazing! Tender, moist, and spicy, without being overly saucy or messy like one commonly finds. After that, we split the Base Camp pizza, which was just what the doctor ordered. Loved the chewy crust, meaty portabella mushrooms, semi-sweet bell peppers, and the sausage. I washed it down with the Adult Rootbeer, which was actually very good, and the staff was very accommodating and made my girlfriend a Spanish Coffee despite it not being on the menu.<br/><br/>We loved this place so much we went back for dinner the same day! Had another order of the wings (told you they were good), the garlic cheese bread, and the Shrimp Penne, which was surprisingly amazing. Really tender, plump shrimp, and nice flavor from the herbs, roma tomatoes, and aged Parmasean. <br/><br/>I don’t know when I’ll be back to Tahoe, but if I do I’m for sure coming here. Great food, friendly staff, and reasonably priced. Everyone wins.

Delicious, but pricey. My daughter and I enjoyed Base Camp Pizza, which is conveniently located in Heavenly Village. The drinks are served in mason jars and there are plenty of TVs to keep an eye on the game. I did not like how our table was almost in the laps of the people next to us. I know space is cramped, but I still do not like that feeling. The Hawaiian pizza was excellent. It was $18 for a medium, so know that ahead of time. Great atmosphere too.

This restaurant is located in the Heavenly Village. We ordered the Fire Roasted Medley pizza. It comes with roasted garlic, fresh basil, tomatoes, roasted onions and peppers, and savory goat cheese. It is then topped with a house 4-cheese blend. We shared a medium size, but it is not a thin crust pizza, so a person can easily be satisfied with 2 or 3 slices. I got a glass of Ruffino Chianti wine and my husband got a beer called "Little Sumpin". You can seat inside or outside. For a day on the slopes, it is a good option!

If you're hungry after skiing or snowboarding all day, I'd head down to Base Camp Pizza Co. It's a fun and lively place with a great draft beer selection. In particular, the timing right after skiing is perfect. Usually they charge $13 for a personal size pizza but during happy hour (2-6pm) you can get a personal sized pizza AND a draft beer for $12! I had the Base Camp Pizza (pepperoni, Italian sausage, roasted peppers and onions, portobello mushroom) It's a pretty good thick crust pizza with generous toppings. I had mine with a glass of the Nitro Deschutes Red Chair (pale ale) Hit the spot after a long day on the mountain. I had the Similan Island Curry (seafood sauteed in special country style red curry with Thai herbs and spices, $17.95) Orchids Authentic Thai Food 2180 Lake Tahoe Blvd, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150 (530) 544-5541 If you're staying near Heavenly, there's a good chance you'll be walking distance to The Brewery at Lake Tahoe. It's a nice little brewery that also serves pub food (burgers, sandwiches, etc). You can get a flight of their lineup which includes wheat ale, amber ale, IPA, etc, or one of the seasonal brews including a Belgian white ale. Check out their website for the beer list . The beers tend to the lighter side, but definitely quaffable and refreshing. PS. Don't forget to check out the lake itself. It's one of the most photographed spots in the country
