Review Maria's - South Haven

Whenever we go to South Haven, this is the place we dine. They never disappoint! Everything we've tried has been delicious and fresh, from soups and salads to the main dish. This time, I had the meatball sandwich! The taste was so great that I wanted to eat it all... But it was so large I had to take some home. My leftovers tasted just as great the next day! I recommend this place to all my family and friends.

Fine pizza indeed, but wait times can really stretch if you don't reserve a table. We tried the chicken Alfredo, the Supreme and the Vegetarian all of which were tasty, not too much dough, properly cooked, not too oily or salty- much recommended!

The food was very good, the flavors are rediculous! Kudos to who ever made this food, job well done. The server was good and attentive, had a mishap with my fork and I got a clean one seconds later. Best of all the bill wasn't insane for this quality meal.

We were out of luck, really. They were out of a third of the menu (beverage or food). Pros: The staff was nice and polite going through the choices we made and coming back to let us know that they didn't have it lol. We ended up asking for Chicken Parmegiana, which I loved, Alfredo chicken was also very good. The bread sticks that came with the dishes were awesome. The house made meatballs had one coming half cooked (picture). We had our little one with us and asked for kid options, but they only brought when all food was ready, which is not ideal for toddlers, although we understand that would be the right thing to do. Very cozy and amazing food! We went there twice during our stay in the area. Had “The Angelo” sandwich the first time and pizza that didn’t disappoint the second time! Plenty of free parking nearby.

The food was great despite hearing otherwise! I took a chance and got something that the server said is hit or miss for a lot of people and I loved it. I would definitely come back anytime I’m in the area. I got the ravioli with spinach, tomatoes and sautéed in oil and garlic rather than sauce, while my boyfriend got the lasagna. The only reason the rating wasn’t a 5 was because our server didn’t come around much.

Delicious food, but last time, my pizzas were dropped in the kitchen. I was told 6 minutes to wait for new ones, but it ended up being almost 20 minutes. I was a little disappointed that they offered nothing for my extra wait.

Spur of the moment stop in South Haven and found Maria's. I had meatball appetizer. Very garlicky but good. Huge! Trio had ravioli, stuffed shells and alfredo. Best Alfredo. Delicious! Wasn't crazy about the sweetness in red sauce or I would have liked other dishes more. Overall great food and atmosphere and HUGE food portions. We will be back for sure!

Fabulous! I’m sorry we waited so long to try it here. My wife and daughter had the lasagna and I had, my favorite, chicken parmigiana. Giant servings and everything tasted fantastic. Can’t wait to come back and try the Margarita Pizza. Came back and tried the Margarita Pizza and it was fantastic. 5 Star delicious. Went again today and returned to the chicken Parmesan. Terrific as always. Only one problem/. With so many options it is getting harder and harder to decided what to get. Next time I’m getting the carbonara Pasta.

Fun, old-school Italian restaurant located near the South Haven downtown shopping district. Super friendly staff. The Palerno, a pasta seafood dish, could feed a family of three or four! They cook from scratch so if it’s busy, prepare to wait. Although, it's such a cozy atmosphere… waiting is easy.... especially with a good glass of wine!

Very good food. I had the lasagna. The sauce is a little sweet, but not obnoxious.

Great Place Friendly Atmosphere had a wonderful lunch with my daughter ! Thank you very much, her name is Maria Too! Maria’s tour of Italy was delicious!

Pros: Lovely restaurant servers. $8-9 Personal Pizza 2 toppings (4.5/5), soft and chewy, tomato sauce is legit. $15-16 Caesar Salad w/marinated chicken & bread stick (3.5/5), too salty, maybe tell them to lightly add the dressing? Cons: Food ETA 25-30 mins.

I ordered a pizza from here among other places for a little pizza tasting dinner for my parents' anniversary. Staff were all so sweet, they remembered me over the phone and wrote a happy anniversary message on the inside of the box. The pizza was excellent--one of the best my parents and I have had in South Haven. Thank you Maria's!

Absolutely love Maria's Taste of Italy. This time I had had the buttered shrimp linguine. It was so good. My friend had the spaghetti dinner and side she liked it very much. I will definitely come back to this place when I'm near SoHa.
