Review Tippecanoe Place Restaurant - South Bend

Small but tasty. Small. But tasty. Honestly if you're in South Bend, you should really visit this place. However, my Crab Cake Benedict was tasty but the crab part was too salty and too dry. This city is not famous for good food but you'll be happy with this one. The place is nice, pretty, clean enough. The service is good. They don't have plants. But it's nice to be here.

My husband got the exact same pasta shrimp dish today and it was fabulous. I had the salmon also delicious. The food was hot and service was quick. The staff was amazing. Even though we did not have a reservation for graduation weekend, within 20 minutes we had a table. We did not know it was a special weekend. We drove over an hour to eat there.

Exceptional customer service! Last Sunday, I played the harp for a Vow Renewal taking place in the Grand Foyer. Jasmine and her team were very helpful in answering questions (including a phone call several days prior), assisting with set up, and coordinating the ceremony. The organization and attention to detail made for a very personal and professional experience for our client. I would highly recommend Tippecanoe Place for any special event!

Actually disappointed. I grew up coming here and decided to get dinner here after a few years. My soup was cold, I ordered the shrimp pasta. The shrimp was not cleaned out and I would think for a $30 dish they could clean the shrimp out. The shrimp was also gummy so I didn’t finish my meal. The sauce was bland and the dish was lukewarm. I hope it was just an off night

Amazing service from Kelly. She really is one of the best servers I've ever had. Food was delicious, I got the French Onion Soup and Seared Atlantic Salmon. Both I recommend and would gladly get again. Fantastic atmosphere. The pricing is a little high, but I think the experience of the Studebaker Mansion is well worth it, especially during Christmas time. Beautiful Christmas decor throughout the mansion. Don't miss the gingerbread house!

We celebrated our wedding anniversary; excellent food, service, atmosphere, a complimentary dessert and keepsake Tippecanoe Mansion poster. Be ready to take your time. The drinks, appetizer, soup/salad, entree and desert are served in a leisurely manner.

The building itself is an amazing piece of architecture. The wood work inside is a masterpiece of craftsmanship. The food was really good. I ordered the chefs pasta which happened to be a shrimp scampi in a rich garlic butter sauce. My husband ordered the hamburger with a side of the mac and cheese. While the burger was slightly over done it was made with excellent beef and well seasoned. The mac and cheese was elevated by the beer cheese sauce. All and all a wonderful meal served in a beautiful atmosphere. Definitely a place to go.

Service was great. Thank you Robert. Food was fresh and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Celebrated a 50th wedding anniversary in a private room.
