As much as the gentrified plaza has good food I really wanted something simple and old fashion. Burger was very good and I haven't had fries that weren't oversalted in ages! Great little place to get some quick simple good food. Too bad I live far away otherwise I'd come here more often.

Real food, unlike the big M chain restaurant nearby. Great fries, great burgers. 4 starts and not 5 for two reasons: 1) No mushrooms, 2) $1.75 charge for using debit card.

Best burgers in Sonoma and the best french fries in the country! I love a good burger and happy dog delivers every single time! I grew up in Sonoma and have eaten here since I was 5 years old and over the last 30 years, thankfully, nothing has changed at all. The food is fantastic, the place looks identical but is always clean. I am so thankful to have something not change (Especially the quality) in Sonoma for a fair price.

This is a great, normal burger joint. None of this "artisan bread, grass fed beef, micro greens" stuff. Don't get me wrong, that's also good. But if you want a great regular, greasy burger in Sonoma, this is the place.

As a local, if your a fan of a classic good burger made infront of you or just a quick big hotdog go here. They haven't let me down once yet.

It may be different owners, but the food is always good, and been going to happy dog since the early 70's. Eat their food, patronize their business it's worth it.

Been going to Happy Dog for over forty years. There on their 3rd owner in that time span. Food is just as good as the first time l went.

CASH ONLY. This place is so good! I know for the years I kept driving past it, but I was always curious -but I didn't know how to park there -wasn't sure if they only served hot dogs, and it looks a bit silly from the outside. I took a friend taking me inside before I knew the joys of Happy Dog! And they have Burgers too btw!
