With a roach stuck to the inside of the carafe. Kind of put a damper on the night. We should have probably left but the wait staff was apologetic and tried their best. I spent the rest of the evening examining my orders closely. They gave us a nominal discount which was cool but not enough to show it mattered. Essentially we got a free drink for having to deal with a squished bug. Considering the prices here I would have expected better on quality as well as service. Drinks were good but maybe hang at the bar instead.

This establishment has the best drinks, from sweet and tasty , to a neat drink on the rocks, the customer service is impeccable a the ambiance is just right. It's best to go during the week as the weekends can get quite busy. Be sure to say hi to bartenders Kyle are Charlie,the best customer service!!!!!! You will not be disappointed

First time here and loved the atmosphere... Sat in the bar on the high top tables! Alejandro was the bartender and our server. He was awesome!! We ordered the halibut and the skirt steak and decided to share it btwn the 2 of us. The chef divided it up for us without us even asking them to do that. Both meals were incredible!! I was really impressed overall with Verve and would highly recommend it!!

The website looked great but our dining experience left much to be desired. Two of the signature cocktails on the seasonal menu were not available and the two we had fell flat. My wife and I each had ahi tuna special which was served on a cold hashbrown topped with caramelized onions (not noted in the description) and a cold piece of foie gras, which was completely inedible. Too many good restaurants in Somerville, won't be going back.

I appreciate the Speakeasy feel of the bar area. I like the mood there a lot. I used to go there all the time when I opened a business downtown not had only gone sporadically since we closed. I really missed it and it made me miss the friends I used to hang with there. We are all over the world now. It's just a nice chill spot with a really great chef and service. My spinach ravioli was amazing and creative, I wouldn't have thought to put those flavors together with crab and mushrooms. I like it there because it's not trying to be all things to all people and that works.

Though I come here often and the food is always amazing, last night the kitchen was definitely off. 1st off the hummus appetizer was delivered with burnt, hard, old pita bread. Next out was the 2 specials of the evenings menu, my Halibut was incredible but the other entree, the filet mignon wrapped in bacon was way over cooked ( asked for medium rare ) and the bacon was a bit under cooked, that being said, it was returned and the new filet came out completely raw and cold inside once it was cut open. ( bacon raw as well ) We decided to cancel the filet mignon special ( since it was now 2 times it came out wrong ) and just was so hungry that we ordered the Halibut in place of the filet. The Halibut was simply delicious and as always the cocktails were scrumptious. I know sometimes the kitchen is "off", but I was shocked that it was so "off" last night. I hope this was a one time problem, I do want to come back and enjoy the food again.

One of my favorite places of all time. Never a disappointment. Rick and his staff strive for excellent service on every level and it shows. It’s literally the place where “everyone knows your name”. Our modern day “Cheers” with a bougie feel.

Had our valentines dinner here and I must say it was wonderful! Everything from the appetizer to dessert was done to perfection. I ordered the filet mignon and my husband had the tuna, and both were delicious. I have never had a bad, or even, under whelming, meal here. Love this restaurant, one of my faves in downtown Somerville.

Great little place with a speakeasy feel. Bartender will make you an amazingly drink based on whatever spirit you like. They are true professionals at their craft!! Also great food. If your anywhere nearby it’s a must stop in!

Bisque was lukewarm, at best. Duck was tasty but overcooked. Waiter was pleasant, but forgot part of our order. Overall, it was okay, but I've been to much better places. Definitely wasn't worth the cost.

Being a born and bred NYC girl I have to say I think Verve is my most favorite new place. It's got a cool city vibe, the food is fantastic, the staff way friendly and knowledgeable, love the lounge, Bartenders are true mixologists and all delightful and adorable!!! I actually asked if I can hostess there part time! That's my story, sticking to it! And who doesnt love a bar with disco balls! Kudos!

We were there last night with friends to celebrate my birthday and to enjoy their crab fest! The food itself was very good! However, it took over a 1/2 hr to seat us (we had a reservation and were 5 minutes early) and the manager basically just gave excuses blaming crab fest. I will say the bartender tried his best to make the situation better. Disappointed in the sevice and my experience unfortunately.
