I love this restaurant. It has such a feel-good air. The Turkish interior is beautiful, the service is wonderful, and the food is delicious. As a tea-lover, I also recommend the Turkish tea here. Breakfast indoors was relaxed and the food delicious. I had the "Plate of Turkish Morning" for the sake of variety. It was delicious and reasonably priced considering the quantity and quality. The menu offers plenty of options so you're going to find something to your liking.
Istanbul’lu is a cozy Turkish spot in Somerville that we tried this weekend and enjoyed. The Pohca was great - the dough was perfectly soft & delicious. Another order I loved was the Iskender Doner , which is a classic turkish dish served with doner meat over yogurt, tomato sauce, & crispy pita brea
So delicious! We loved our food, the Iskender and the Kofta were amazing and the special kunefe with pistachios was out of this world! The atmosphere is so cozy and warm and our server was so sweet and accommodating. Highly recommend!
Incredible Turkish food! Everything we ordered was excellent, and the main dish we ordered was one of the most flavorful dishes I have literally ever eaten (and I consider myself a bit of a foodie)! The place is small, so it was a good thing we called ahead. Definitely would recommend!!!
Adana kebab was among the worst I've ever had and for some reason, super thin. The rice also didn't taste good. No spices on anything either. Not sure if they were rushed or this is their normal quality but I won't be ordering again to find out.
