This place is a gem. This place is a hidden jewl. Go here. The food is freaking next level. Plates are small so you can eat a variety. Flavors are layered. Dishes are beautifully put together. Spices are mixed creatively. Items are cooked to perfection. Items here feel and taste like they were just brought from a farm or the sea. Look at the menu and imagine what the dishes taste like... they are even better than that. This place is upscale but not stuffy; elevated but not pretentious. I can't wait to go back.
Holy fricken sh*t. This was the best food and best wine I’ve ever had in my 23 years on this earth. Granted I’ve never eaten at a restaurant of this quality before, but our waitress was incredibly helpful, pointed us to an excellent wine with our meals. The atmosphere was beautiful, tons of greenery and wood asthetic. Open kitchen so we could see them preparing our incredible dishes. Wow just wow
A friend took me here to celebrate and I’m still thinking about my delicious meal and the cozy ambiance. The service was friendly and knowledgeable and had even circled the items that were vegan on the menu for my convenience. My thoughts when I entered were why can’t my dining room be this charming? Maybe I need more candles and fresh garden blooms. I was also so excited to see koginut squash on the menu, this is something I only read about before through the row 7 seed company, and the preparation was marvelous. Every dish was simply delightful and perfectly made. I wish I could cook like this, but I’ll settle for being a more frequent guest and enjoying the variety the seasons bring. I hope field and vine comes out with a cookbook soon.
Mesmerizing dining experience that offers a wide spectrum of creative flavor combinations in tapas style.
After hearing about their emphasis on locally sourced ingredients, I’ve been wanting to visit this place for a while, and I finally pulled the trigger this weekend. Stepping into the restaurant, we were welcomed into a relaxing atmosphere evoked by casual integration of vines and natural decors with high ceilings and skylights.
We started off with some oysters from New Brunswick, Canada which were one of the best oysters I had in Boston. The freshness of the oysters were unrivaled and they set a great tone for the rest of our meal. We were subsequently introduced to fluke ceviche which had a blissful combination of citrus notes, basil, and other floral herbs. Mix of slightly burnt ends and créme fraîche in the grilled cabbage was also very addicting, and I enjoyed the smoky flavors in the eggplant which came after.
Out of all the meat and fish dishes, the highlight for me was the pork shoulder steak which was cooked with perfect level of juiciness and tenderness. Integration of cranberry beans and peaches with the steak was also unique, and I was truly captivated.
Service was also top notch. Our server, who also seemed to be the manager, was friendly and very responsive.
Overall, this is undoubtedly one of the best restaurants I’ve visited in the Greater Boston area, and I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys exploring creative menu.
Field and vine is absolutely beautiful and the food did not disappoint! We walked in on a Wednesday evening and was able to get a table right away. We shared 5 dishes. The highlights: pickles, sunchoke hash, parsnip grits, and fried monkfish... just about everything that we ordered. Everything was playful and very well flavor balanced The only thing that was only just "pretty good" was the fluke ceviche. Definitely will be back!
We had dinner last night at this lovely and rusticly stylish restaurant. Small plates and wine service was to perfection. The menu was as advertised, an eclectic grouping of creative and fresh farm to plate small plates to delight every taste bud. The atmosphere was romantic and quiet for perfect conversation over dinner. Our server was wonderful, professional and flawlessly walked us through the many selections. Pricing was high, but the quality and experience made our visit worth the cost for a truly delightful evening. Don't skip dessert ,but the negative was there was no coffee offering with the delectable chocolate mousse we enjoyed. No coffee? We'll be back.
My boyfriend and I enjoyed a delicious meal in their outdoor dining space, the ambiance, service and dishes were so good! The decor inside was gorgeous, I look forward to going back for another date night.
Could not have been more happy with this fantastic restaurant. What a gem! The service was outstanding and the food delicious. We loved the ambience, and we had the most wonderful time there sampling different dishes with incredible flavors. I wholeheartedly recommend this for date nights and catching up with fiends. Thank you to everyone - we will be back!
