Overall a solid experience. Service staff was attentive and knowledgeable. We very much enjoyed the bean dip, mackerel and pudding dessert. The other dishes were thoughtfully constructed and had unique flavors. We didn’t love the terrine. I’d go back.

The food, wine and cocktails at spoke wine bar are incredible! Our favorite small plates were the bean dip, the tuna crudo and the cheese plate. The folks behind the bar can make any fabulous cocktail you want. We also asked for a wine suggestion and loved it. Be sure to get a reservation because it’s always packed. We will definitely be back!

Still the overall atmosphere seems a bite scandinavic and cold (could be more cozy)
We had several dishes and some were ok and some were delish
Would not recommend the hen of the woods terrine and the charcuterie
Would highly recommend the mackerel and gnocchi and donuts

Great dinner here tonight. Loved the beaujolais I had and our server was great about recommendations for wine. we tried the bean dip, Sunchoke doughnuts, tuna crudo, manchego biscuit, chocolate dessert and mochi panna cotta.
All were very good. Stand outs were the bean dip and doughnuts. The bean dip was a crazy mix of savory and sweet that just worked. Cozy place with a nice bar a bit outside of Davis.

I really enjoyed the vibe of Spoke - sleek and understated, yet cozy. The service was great as well. The menu (both food and drink) was very interesting and the presentation of the food was beautiful. However...everything was so incredibly salty it just ruined the underlying flavor. I thought it may have been the parsnip tots which came first, but no. Every single one of the 4 or 5 dishes we had were salted so much I couldn't even finish my half and resorted to hydrating instead.

I have been lucky enough to go to Spoke several times and every time it surprises me with how breath taking it is. Every bite is unique, unexpected, and filled with surprise with incredible balance. The staff is knowledgeable and welcoming making it easy to be excited about every thing you order. I look forward to the next new dish so I can try my next favorite plate of food of all time.

Great place for a date or a calm eve with wine, cocktail and small plates. It is slick and cozy. I appreciate the unique take on the menu. Hope the wine selection will improve though.

Just had an even more spectacular meal at Spoke! Every detail is amazing. I had a two Michelin star meal last week that was nowhere near as inventive, original, beautiful, and delicious as the food here. And that doesn't even touch on the amazing cocktails, phenomenal wine selections, and fabulous service. Go here!

Food was excellent. The wine was fantastic. Only complaint is that the place is SMALL and the PACK you in! It was worth the feeling of eating with people at the table next to you though.

Honestly this place sucked. The service wasn't good and the food is overpriced and sub par. My friend and I waited 45 minutes to get attention from our waiter . I ate 1/4 of my $16 risotto and the waiter didn't even ask me if it was good. For a zagat rated place I would never come back.

Totally delectable every. single. time. Cassie's cocktails are FIERCE: get the Coyote or Moscow Mule (off menu) and wash your blues away... Oh, and everything Chef John daSilva makes is pure heaven.
