Wonderful traditional Irish pub, one of the best in a city known for its Irish pubs. Much better food than you would expect and the great line-up of beers that that you should expect. Live music virtually everyday and at all times, whether from scheduled acts from around the world appearing in the back or from ongoing informal seisiún going in the front. Lovely seating out on the street, weather permitting as well as tables and booths throughout inside. Good crowd of all ages usually, and a good time is virtually guaranteed if you're willing to hold up your end of the inevitable conversation.

Always a hit for friendly, neighborhood vibes, Irish charm, and fantastic live music. Tonight the cheeseburger and sweet potato fries were especially on point. If you like a Guinness, these folks know how to pour it right. My #1 spot where I feel like everybody knows my name.

I absolutely love this place. I live in the western part of the state, but my family and I are from this area. When I come back here, I have to go to The Burren for either lunch or dinner. Never had a bad meal there and everyone is so friendly. 🍀

It pretends to be something special, but it really isn't. The decor is quite messy, random and has barely anything to do with Ireland. Wasn't very excited about food quality and quite limited choice of drinks. On the pros side it is priced accordingly which makes it a decent local bar for a non demanding customer.

Warm, welcoming place with deep musical roots. The Burren is a gem. We ended up sharing a table with the owners. What a great couple ! And such generous hospitality. Can't wait to go back.

Came to hear some really great music - but found it hard to hear over the shrieking din. Call me old-fashioned, but I will never understand why folks pay money to get into a music show and then have a yelling conversation throughout the music. Service was spotty, by an obviously overworked waiter, who treated us as well as he could, even giving us permission to move from some shrieking banshees to another seat in the venue. The beer was fresh and tasty. The food was good, not great. Oh, how I miss Johnny D's, or any other bar that is not primarily a millennial meat market. Sigh.

One of my very favorite venues to hear live acoustic music, especially Celtic, Singer/Songwriter, Folk and Americana. Big time Irish feeling with that warm and friendly community vibe. Love the bar menu, and great choice of beer and ale on tap. Guinness? - but of course!

Loved seeing The band that time Forgot. Why they felt the need to offer ear plugs I’ll never know. Waiter forgot to our in our dinner order. Had to eat after the music started. Given free drinks to make up for the mistake. Overworked waiter. Good, not great balsamic chicken. Good Guinness.

Place is terrible, mad bros and horrible staff, security was overly unnecessary assholes and would like to see another company take over their location in davis, suggest getting food at red bones and going to sligo pub instead, this place sucks...

The Burren had been recommended to us by some friends and we finally had the chance to stop in. Are we glad we did! The service was great (I did not get the name of the young man who was our server but he was fantastic) and the food was wonderful! They even had vegetatrian options that my daughters loved! We have already bought tickets for the St. Patricks's Day celebration and cannot wait to return!

I love The Burren. I do. I love the little "taste of Ireland" as it truly is, with very traditional Irish pub vibes, Trad sessions, proper pints, etc. The fish & chips there is my go-to. BUT please bring back proper plates. The wooden troughs with paper (that comes apart that I accidentally chewed) under your food is awful. I hadn't been in a while, and was not amused.

Do not order the meat based stew. Virtually tasteless. Ask for warm soda bread. Mine came to the table fresh out of the cold storage. Order beer and beverages. Maybe other food is better but an Irish pub that serves bad Guinness stew is very, very sad.
