$83 total for the veal, potato skins, and lamb rack dishes + one coke. The food was very expensive but the taste was average. All of it was well cooked, but it really wasn’t that tasty. The sauce on the lamb rack just seemed to make the lamb less dry—it lacked flavor just like the sauce the veal was laid on top of. The potato skins were very delicious though, and they come with ranch & extra tomatoes so ask for sour cream instead if desired. Outdoor seating was nice, but even on a cooler day the windows were wide open and wind constantly blew through. The interior is okay and so is the outside seating. This combined with average quality, overpriced food makes me rate 3 stars. Complimentary bread was great though!

We went for dinner on a Sunday evening. The restaurant wasn't super busy. Service was adequate and no complaints. We got seated promptly. The server took our food order at the appropriate time. The two favorite dishes: 1. Hakkebof Med Log - groundsirloin with grilled onions was juicy and flavorful. Cooked to the request of medium rare. 2. The Wienerschnitzel - the thin slice of meat was light and juicy. The scallion potatoes, red cabbage and cucumber salad added a nice burst of freshness to the expertly-cooked meats. Why not 5 star? The price is high: $16 for 4 potato skin; each entree $26-$31; bread for $4; and a 16oz. beer $12. The meal costs an arm and a leg. This is our only complaint. Understand that it is targeting tourists, but we are "local" Californians who go back to the same restaurant for good food when we visit the town again.

Amazing food! We started out with the Danish Herring appetizer with the three sauces, wow! Absolutely amazing! For main course my wife ordered the salmon and I got the rack of lamb. You won't go wrong here. We went during a weekday early evening and we sat out on the back patio.

Our day of exploration of Solvang included an authentic Danish style meal.  At the information we asked for recommendations as to where to dine and one of the many choices were the "Bit O' Denmark." The outside of this restaurant gave you that feeling you were in for a treat.  The inside feel looked nothing like an American interior restaurant which includes a bar. We we're escorted to a heated part of their patio.  Alot of the items on their menu was of Danish fare but also included American dishes. I ordered the "Frikadeller, roast pork," which consists of three Danish open faced sandwiches.  Each sandwich was prepared in it's own unique style and their own flavor.  The meal itself was good and I did enjoy my selection.  I would recommend this restaurant for a truly Danish dining experience.

What a great experience it was to visit Bit O' Denmark Restaurant in Solvang. Victor and the staff were so friendly, helpful and attentive to our needs and customers who were having dinner and enjoying some drinks. The food was amazing and so were the drinks. The music playing in the background made it even more of a greater experience. I highly recommend this place if your ever visiting Solvang. Thank you Bit O' Denmark 🇩🇰 Restaurant.

The herring appetizer was the bomb.com! The Bit O’ Burger was really good as well! The Monte Cristo was good, but probably more for breakfast than dinner. The clam chowder and mixed greens was really good as well! Overall great experience

Stopped by after 5pm on a Tuesday for dinner. We decided to take a table in the covered patio as the weather was good. I ordered the Wienersnitchel, mashed potatoes and red cabbage and had a Danish Red Lager beer. The Wienersnitchel was very good and I have to say the red cabbage was the best that I have eaten to date. The Red Lager beer was the perfect drink to accompany the pork dish. The staff and service was very good.

We enjoyed the Danish dinner. Roast duck and roasted pork were done perfectly.
