Wow what a big resort with lots to do and places to stay can’t wait to return! We went snow tubing for a quick visit had a blast! I’d buy your tickets in advance it was a full crowd for a 1pm snow tubing and also paid to park closer to the building!

Snowshoe resort consists of two ski/snowboard areas: Snowshoe proper and Silver Creek. A shuttle runs between the two every hour. Snowshoe shuts down at 4:30 pm, but ski lifts in Silver Creek operate until 9 pm, except for the Flying Eagle. I recommend staying at Silver Creek and taking a shuttle to Snowshoe. The trails serviced by the Flying Eagle are black diamonds, and they are the best of all. Deer come to Ski Patrol hut to eat bread tossed by staff. (Of note, it is not a good habit to feed wildlife). The best time to ski and ride is during workdays before 4 pm. After then, crowds from Snowshoe arrive for the night skiing. For rentals and tickets, go to the Silver Creek Lodge. For those inspired by the Olympics: there are two good terrain parks. The Ski Patrol practises regularly, and they would evacuate you promptly if you happen to face-plant on the rail. The Silver Creek Lodge is within a very short (1-2 min) walking distance from the nearest ski hill. The accommodations are adequate and cheaper than at the Snowshoe proper. The lodge has indoor and outdoor pools, a sauna, two hot tubs, a small fitness room, a few shops, a sports bar and the Bear Den. The latter offers drinks and entertainment - the arcades, a pool table, etc. There are NO grocery stores at Silver Creek, and the shops inside the lodge are insanely expensive. If you stay for longer than a day, bring your own supplies, as every unit has a kitchenette. I saw people who brought crock-pots and air fryers! The rentals, lift tickets, and lockers are on the first floor - follow the signs from the main lobby.

We had a great time at Silver Creek and Snowshoe. The accommodations are adequate, if a little dated, but the staff is friendly and everything is convenient, overall I would recommend. I much preferred the crowd and wait at Silver Creek, there are more interesting ski runs and food options in the Village, but considering we cooked most of our food and were only in our room to sleep, it was worth taking the shuttle.

Skiing at Snowshoe we decided to visit Silver Creek at night for snow tubing. Really cool, great for small kids. Lines were too long.

Rooms are excellent. Beds were very comfortable. Not a good experience for parking. There in June for GNCC event. Parking lot filled with campers and little to no parking for lodge customers.

Wonderful place. Its not crowded. Its the best south of NE and there is nothing as good south of it. Always a good time. If you are the parent of a child with challenges or an adult who has endured an accident, the adaptive program here is top notch. If you want cold, excellent, local beer and great food...skip this place and go to Old Spruce Brewery.

Silver creek was delightful. The slopes were soft and powdery. The staff at the hotel were friendly, but I wasn't to ecstatic about the 5p check-in. Nonetheless, I will return with more friends next time.

This was my first visit to silvercreek ended up with a bit of lightening which delayed us by about an hour. The slopes are a good verity, cubb run it pretty good cause its smooth however there are some dead spots so teaching a friend was a little diffacult with them having to take a foot off the board. The only true downfall to this slope is the lifts, they are super super slow like take a nap slow lol definately makes you miss the main section and the fast lifts. The staff was great and I appreciate there quick moving to get the trail ready for night and keeping the lifts going to the last munite. Thank you,

Silver Creek at Snowshoe is wonderful. You can stay slope side while boarding or Skiing even at night. This part of the mountain is open from sun up to way past sundown. There are shuttles all over the mountain to ensure you can easily get around. Also, there are several bar and restaurants right around here if you’re feeling parched or hangry from a day on the snow. Once you finish shredding on the higher side of the mountain definitely don’t forget to ride out to Silver Creek to finish the day on the white!

Great fun... Even more fun when no ones paying attention and you get to be a little reckless!

There is RV camping available at Silver Creek, but the reservation details are unclear. No specific phone number to call.

Silver is a good base camp for hiking Backcountry or mountain biking the trails at Silver Creek (no lift available) or 1 mile from Snowshoe trails (need ticket). Pretty much bare bones, just a place to shower and sleep. Picture is a 1 bedroom.

Change up from main Snowshoe mountain. Ask runs were nicely groomed. Good variety of runs. Not as crowded as we SS. INSIGHTS: - family oriented, but with a nice bar area in the main building - same lift ticket as SS - drop off near ski area, then park in free lot; otherwise long walk from car to ski wearing boots and carrying skis. Put shoes inside.

We have been skiing Snowshoe and Silver Creek for decades! Only problem was we weren't told when we made the reservation that Silver Creek has a 5 pm check in now instead of 4pm. We received 2 confirmations, neither of which indicated a 5 pm check in. Snowshoe reservation folks should be advised so they can tell renters. Other than that a great trip!

Slope side lodging geared towards a family environment. Has a rental shop and a sports bar on site with great food. The silvercreek slopes is the spot where night riding takes place.
