4.5 stars A must visit in Snowmass. Make reservations because they are busy! We were able to get a reservation on Monday at 7:30 pm and it was busy like a Sat night. They have a decent spread but not too much - a few pizza options, a few pasta options, some apps, some entrees and desserts. They also have specials. We ordered the dustino pizza with sausage, Calabrian chilli's, tomatoes, the penne pasta with cauliflower, caramelized onions, pine nuts, mint and lemon and paired those with some fantastic red and white wine choices. Both the pizza and the pasta were delicious. They give you half portions on the pasta which was a great decision because I managed to finish it for a change. The pasta's primary flavor is bland but the onions, cauliflower, lemons, mint and the butter really add a beautiful aftertaste. We also got some chilli oil which elevated the pasta, pizza and bread to another level. The breads were very good too! We ended the dinner with tiramisu which was good but not as good as my friend makes. All in all, price is on the higher end but this is worth the food experience.
The food was so damn good. Seafood tasted really fresh. A must try if you are in the area. We were lucky to get a free desert that night which made the night even better. Make sure you try their desert.
We got a great table and our servers were very helpful and knowledgeable. It was a good price for what we had and they make homemade limoncello. The photos are of the swordfish special and the gnocchi. Both were light and delicious.
Yup, the food is great all around Aspen / Snowmass. But this one shocked me. We lodged close to "the mall," and strolled up to Poggio's unassuming location to read the menu in the window. A distinguished-looking New York guy put his arm around me and said, "You can't go wrong. This is the best restaurant in Snowmass." We made a special request for take out, ordered several items, and rolled back to our hotel. When we opened the containers we were intoxicated with the smells. The super-tender mussels jumped out as Newfoundland choice. I demand red sauce on pizza, but the Dustino spicey pizza had no sauce and it ranked among the best I've ever eaten. The gnocchi with veal was tender and scrumptious. The kid scarfed the pomodoro, but my wife took her sweet time with the burrata salad. Chocolate cake was par with everything else. Yum.
Love the ambience and the excellent service by the staffs. Although I have not posted picture of their pizza, you should give the Dustino pizza a try too. Cavatappi, ravioli and gnocchi are all delicious. This is a place for all occasions.
delicious food and great service!
The atmosphere great, the service awesome, the salad perfect, good variety of beers and wine, we ordered duck and shrimp fetuccine, for my taste, could have a little bit more of salt on both
This is our goto restaurant in Snowmass Village. Wood fired pizzas and well curated Italian dishes in a pleasant atmosphere. The front room, which we prefer, has a more bistro ambiance for bar or table seating. The back room is more subdued. Good wine list.
