Review En Lai - Slippery Rock

EDIT: i talked to them and they explained i ordered incorrectly but offered to make me what i actually wanted, free of charge. it was delicious!! i ordered to go for my lunch. ordered the chow mein lunch special. what i got? i honestly don’t know. from google searches it was in no way chow mein. very sad given how absolutely disgusting this food looks/smells. woman was nice. other food was good at different visits…but this was a huge disappointment. gag.

Dinner ordered off menu, pork egg roll for appetizer. I enjoyed General Tso chicken and my wife got shrimp w/mushrooms. We both got generous portions served hot. Both enjoyed our meals.

The lunch buffet was affordable and even came with refillable drinks. The dining area was clean, quiet, and there was a lot of seating available. There were many vegetarian options including vegetable egg rolls, lo mein, and fried rice. The food was flavorful and enjoyable.

Really good food for a fair price. I love supporting En Lai because they have been a staple in Slippery Rock for as long as I can remember. A box of take-out is only $13.50, which you are able to fill yourself.

Delivery was a disaster. They didn't deliver to the right house and blamed us for writing "2nd house" instead of "second house" in the special instructions. Delivery driver called and told us it was at the wrong house and that we can get it ourselves. Well the family there ate the food thinking someone in their household ordered it. When we called they were not very polite about their mistake and wanted to blame us for their lack of understanding. At the end of the conversation I don't believe it was a language barrier as much as straight incompetence.

My wife my 2 kids and I had the buffet and we just could not stop talking about how good the food was so much better the the Chinese buffet in butler deffinetly looking forward to coming back

Not much to say one way or the other, but the food is great. I go here whenever family comes up to visit. My favorite restaurant in Slippery Rock.

Despite the recommendation of the concierge at the fairfield inn I took a shot. I'm very happy that I did. The food arrived quickly. It was hot and delicious. We got house lo mein, pineapple chicken, dumplings and cream cheese rangoon. The best Chinese I've had in a long while. Don't know why they don't recommend you. Probably a beef with management there as they lack customer service skills.

Stopped by for the first time. Enjoyed the buffet. It all looked good and tasted good as well. We will be back.

Ashley gates was rude on the phone when i asked for directions to her apartment and was rude to the owners on the phone and her fiance was impatient when he asked for change and told me to just keep it while I was trying to get the change for him, then I came back to give them the $9 after it was dropped off and paid for. But she was kind enough to tip me anyway:)

Food has been consistently great for decades.

The buffet was fresh, and I was able to order more from the desk if it wasn’t. The soda machine worked well also and gave me a very fizzy drink. I would come here again.

We ordered take out. The staff was friendly and the food was WONDERFUL. The menu had a good variety with very reasonable prices. They also have good lunch combinations. If you want to dine in they have an all you can eat buffet. You can also order from the menu. Nice clean environment. They also deliver. Will absolutely go back.
