Yee Chinese Restaurant

Great place for a "hole in the wall" Resteraunt. Huge variety of choices. They have local artists post beautiful work there. The service was spectacular. The food was great and highly competitive in prices. Easy to get to as well. Take out available. Locally operated by some awesome folk. Their house egg rolls are awesome (pictured). The almond pork was great.

Best Sweet-n-Sour this side of San Francisco!. but recently they are Slammed, Busy, no place to park, wait in line, and then Get Free Attitude when you want a table ... Lots of yelling names for pick up like a Third world fish market atmosphere... I Knew it was a bad sign when I saw the plants inside had recently been cut back... 😞! then Loud Directions to my wife by the waitress in the dining room as where NOT to sit because tables wasn't wiped off.. that was embarrassing.. (and we wouldn't have cared, we Both have been in the Restaurant business for 20 years- your FOOD is Delicious, and we would have quietly overlooked it and there was absolutely no hurry)... Then, when we were tucked away at the tiny table in the back and ordered Cokes we were told there was NO COKES ... No Cokes??? that was it. & we had to Jam! --- bottom line... THE ZEN IS OFF in there... you Need to Fix the Energy in that place ! you need to let the plants grow back! (they kept it peacefull in there..), and you need a Fountain and some soft, oriental music playing...& dim the lighting. But most importantly you need a NEW HOST and waitress. You have THE BEST FOOD IN TOWN! Raise your prices to control the Long Lines and Hire someone who has the Respect to Serve it.

We had heard a lot of good things about Yee's so we went. I have to say I was very disappointed in the service. The little lady that was our waitress was a little short with her attitude and when I told her my girlfriend didn't want a to go plate for her beef and broccoli because she didn't like the gravy she seemed very put off by that. Then showed impatience when I had not put my card in the payment folder when she came back for it. I'm usually a very positive person, promoting local restaurants when I can but very disappointed in service and food tonight.

Ever since moving away from CA, we have tried soooo many Chinese restaurants and I don’t know what it is but there is just no good Chinese food like Home! And we try and try and try! We’ve tried so many times and end up walking away with food that is not edible! So when bobby said he wanted Chinese food I hesitated but of course said ok let’s look up a place. After googling restaurants near us, we came across this little gem and let me tell you...Hands down THE BEST Chinese food in Slidell!! Best I’ve had since moving away from home and living in so many different states, I’m shocked and so happy to say this place is truly amazing!! Plus You know it’s gotta be a good place to eat when it’s packed at 3 pm on a Tuesday!!! Lol there is so much flavor in every dish, I found us both saying omg Baby every bite we took lol I cannot WAIT to go back! We had it for lunch yesterday soooo yea I think I’ll order some Chinese for dinner tonight too!! ;) Also, our server Gabby was amazing! She recommended me to a tattoo parlor in town that has some awesome artists that I will be checking out!! Thanks Yee! Yee Yee!!!
