THE FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE. The chef was passionate about his dishes and stopped at nothing to make us laugh. The specials were out of this world!!! Highly HIGHLY recommend. Skippack is a great area for food, but this BY FAR is the best one in the area.
Not to mention the atmosphere was exactly what we were looking forward to at a Mexican restaurant. The music was perfect and the decor was equally fitting :)
Something had been calling me to this place for quite awhile and I finally made it in... Sorry I waited so long..it was wonderful!! Menu selection was more then adequate, service was extremely good yet unpretentious, and the food was amazing!! Especially the Ceviche..(definitely on the spicey side but that's how I like it) The place has a quaint charm even though decorated in the bold decor of Mexico. It is a BYOB place which is another plus in my book. Long story short..this is definitely an absolute new favorite of mine!
Just had their Mole Chicken today. Delicious and fresh. Definitely going back. Thanks for the amazing food, service, and care put into everything you served us.

I really loved this place. We went there on a stormy Saturday night with another couple.
We sat in a round table on the first floor. There is more seating available on the second. I could see the cook in action from where I was seating. She was really cool.
I ordered Puerco a la Mexicana (Mexican style pork) which was labeled as spicy in the menu. While we waited for the dishes the waitress brought home made nachos with salsa. When the first basket was almost finished, she brought a second one. Really good.
The restaurant is BYOB Wich was good because my friend Marcelo brought a bottle of Argentinean Malbec.
All the dishes were freshly cooked in the very moment we asked for them. The pork meat mas very tender and the stew was spicy. The good thing is the waitress brought a small plate with thinly sliced habanero peppers 🌶️..
We all loved the place and agreed to return soon for more. Everyone at the restaurant was very polite and focused to deliver an excellent expense.
My husband and I are fortunate to live in the Skippack area and so close to Mexican fine dining at its best. The hospitality, warmth, and delicious food at Carisma are second to none. We bring our own margaritas and let the wonderful family who runs this restaurant supply the rest. Appetizers, entrees, and desserts are simply the best whether served inside this beautiful restaurant or on the lovely patio in warmer weather.
The first time I came here was for my birthday. I ordered the pork in mushroom sauce. The cozy atmosphere, wonderful homey service, and food took me back to my roots. This place offered me the most authentic meal that I have ever gotten in the US. Because it was my birthday I was surprised with a free desert with a candle! Jose brought it out as he sang happy birthday to me. It was a great experience and I encourage everyone to give this place a try.
My wife and I went here for lunch and we both loved it. Food was delicious and super fresh. My wife had a chicken burrito and I had a chicken chimichanga and the black bean soup, they were authentic and nicely done. If you’ve been to some non-authentic Mexican restaurants in PA and they just load it up with tons of crazy sauces and bold flavors to mask the quality of their food and you like that then you night not like it here. I can’t wait to go back and try some more dishes for dinner. Also the service was great and everyone was very nice and friendly.
