Went to this little gem of bakery with my wife this morning. She and my sister in law have nothing but great things to say about the Apple Fritter. Well, they are right! The fritter was cooked perfectly, the apple bits were delicious and all in all this was an incredible breakfast treat. I was also intrigued by the looks of their ham and cheese croissants. I ordered one and was pleasantly surprised. The croissant was light and flaky, the ham was thinly sliced and mouth watering and the cheddar cheese complemented the total flavor. Lastly, we took home a box of their fabulous assorted Christmas cookies. This morning I was definitely pleased we made the trip from Crooked River Ranch to Sisters Bakery for an excellent breakfast experience.
Delicious pastries. A very active bakery, eating inside may be noisy sometimes. Space is also limited .Tasty flavors, apple fritter was one of the most praised. I liked the feta-spinach a lot. Kind and fast service. There were no lines but I guess at peak times there might be!
So glad we went with Sisters Bakery for our wedding cake. It did not disappoint! Chocolate with marrionberry filling and vanilla buttercream. Macon was great to work with and huge thanks to Sisters Bakery for the incredible cake!
Was going through town, felt like a mid-morning "pick me up" (coffee and a baked good).
Parking on the street was free.
Cute little cafe.
Friendly servers.
Good vibe.
Nice selection of stuff, too.
But NO prices and NO "labels" (on the food) at all,
so when we ordered 2 black coffees, 2 donuts and what I think was a spinach and feta scone and it came to $15...wow...we were a bit shocked.
Granted, it was all very good.
But two things I'd love to see would have been 1) prices and 2) labels so that you don't have to ask "what's that? what's that? what's that?"....as it makes the ordering process so much slower and makes a long line up for everyone behind you.
A great local bakery with
a wide selection of pies,
breads, donuts, muffins
and much more.
I found a long line on a
Sunday afternoon and
wasn't able to see the
displays cases very well.
I ordered a cranberry
scone and a croissant
after a short wait.
The scone was crispy on
the outside and tender
on the inside with good
taste.
The croissant was flaky
and was very buttery.
Located on East Cascades
Avenue in Sisters.
Parking is on the side streets.
A nice place to stop for
a treat in Sisters with friendly
service and cinnamon
rolls on the weekends.
It's hard to beat this one. Fresh bread and pastries coming out of the oven. Too many wonderful delicious cookies scones breads to buy. You can buy a peach pie and chicken pot pie to go and bake at home. That's what we just did! Good smells and friendly faces meet you at the door. As you exit with those special goods for later on and the following days ahead!
Amazing products and friendly staff. Prices are a bit steep, they're very busy, and access to the location is rough at times due to being a small shop in a busy location. Taking that all into consideration I give them 4stars and stop there almost every time I pass through.
I think they make the best baked goods in Central Oregon. Their apple fritter is insanely good and I stop here whenever I can. Highly recommend.
Update: Last time I stopped in they had a FLAT of 1 day old donuts for $12. OF COURSE I BOUGHT IT! Now I check every time I go by.
I love this bakery in Sisters. The marionberry scone and the brownie were delicious on my first visit. I just visited for the second time and found so many more goodies (cinnamon roll, oat bar, pecan/coconut/chocolate bar, danish.) I am happy to find a place to stop at when I visit town. Prices aren't cheap, though. Third visit in Sept 2023, I discovered the pumpkin cinnamon scone and it's divine.
This place is absolutely amazing! We devoured their fresh breads and pastries all week long during our 5-day vacation in Black Butte. Their donuts and scones were a perfect way to start our mornings at the cabin and then the sandwiches in the afternoon on their bread...INcredible. A turkey sandwich will never be the same for me. I loved, loved, LOVED their bread. I'll have much more to write later...but their pastries and breads are OFF THE HOOK deeeeeelicious!! Soooo worth the stop!
