Fast service, good atmosphere, and good food. The parking is a bit awkward, but the restaurant is setup nicely. It's very clean and orderly. The food comes out fast, the portions were generous, and the flavors were good. The prices were reasonable but a little higher than the other Ethiopian restaurants in town.

First time having Ethiopian food.
Have the beef sambusa; they were delicious! The #15 Beef Yegel Tibs was fantastic. Liked the #12 Beef Alicha Wot.
Enjoyed the new experience and we had a great time!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the food and service at Hibir! We started off with beef sambusa and moved to the main course of traditional doro wot, which did not disappoint. We also drank Ethiopian coffee and munched on the popcorn.

It's a very traditional place but at the same time modern. The owners are a husband and wife combo. They mix their spices up perfectly. It's so hot but not enough to stop but just enough to make you crave more. They have choices on the menu for great vegan options so vegans are welcome.

We came in for dinner on a slow night during the week but felt in right spot from the get go. Super friendly staff and delicious food. The staff is very knowledgeable about their food.
The ambiente is very cozy, authentic and wants make you stay.
We will be back, soon, ... we will have to try the Ethiopian coffee next time.

Nothing better than walking into a bar as a stranger and being treated with respect and warmth. My father and I were traveling through, dropped in and were immediately in a wonderfully comfortable environment.
Who would've guessed that there was fantastic Ethiopian in South Dakota?!? Worth pulling off 90 if you're driving through.

This was explicitly delicious! I can't wait to go back. Can't remember the names of what we ordered but I was sad when it was gone. The flavors are phenomenal. There are actually no words. You NEED to try it!
And the St. George beer. Yum.
