Got to town late at night and was starving! Thought we were going to get terrible side eye for bringing small children (5, 3, & 10 month old) to a wine bar, but our waitress was incredibly nice and super understanding, and assured us it was completely acceptable! The food ...... absolutely amazing!! Got the appetizer of breath and pesto and had to order 3 more as everyone gobbled it up!! Everything we ate was delicious! Even the 3 & 5 year old gave it 2 giant thumbs up!!

Awesome staff. Awesome food. Great ambiance. Arrived on site, was greeted promptly and immediately accommodated to a corner, I requested, to finish my phone conversation. Was debating between the braised ribs with creamy polenta and the Chilean sea bass. The ribs won the race...and oh my Lord, these are the most delicious ribs over polenta I have had in the whole United States! I finished every single scoop/piece of it! Creamy indeed, just the right amount of seasoning, mushrooms and a heavenly dish as a whole! If you are a ribs and polenta lover - this will change your life! Had the mocha creme brulee for desert which was good. The one star down is because after dinner I had this sharp belly ache which took a few moments to get better. Other than that - so awesome and highly recommend!

WOW. Just WOW! I will start by saying, the owner has been in the restaurant business for almost 30 years or more. He never cut corners or taken short cuts before and he remains true to form with his own place. The menu is simple and fantastic at the same time. I simply followed the menu. Appetizers 1st then salad. 1st course followed by the 2nd then dessert. I enjoyed 3 different appetizers including a shrimp cocktail. The shrimp was fresh and crisp. Bread and pesto. Pesto is fresh. Followed by a large caprese salad. Then the pasta with lemon cream sauce followed with the braised beef. I enjoyed a bottle of Jessup table for 4 with dinner. The wine list is simple and straight forward yet includes a few high-end options for the discerning palate. One of my best dinning experiences in Sioux Falls. Not to mention the excellent service. I capped my night with a double espresso which tasted as if it was made by a pro barista... and a peice of tiramisu. Tiramisu was perfectly balanced. All in all a 6 star night from start to finish.

The menu has expanded since my last visit, and now the quality makes R Wine Bar and Kitchen one of the best restaurants in Sioux falls. So many items looked appealing. I went with the fig and balsamic pork chop and it was delightful. My guest enjoyed the salmon and gnocchi. It's good to see the owner mingling with the patrons. I'll be back more often.

R Wine Bar is a small, family owned restaurant with a large selection of wine and a amazing chef. They have re-done their menu multiple times to provide the best dishes they can to their customers. The food served here is food you would expect at a world renowned high class restaurant. If you're looking for a flavorful meal this is the place for you.

The food was outstanding. The service was supreme. The live music was pleasing to the ambiance. I am not exaggerating when I say the steak was some of the best beef I’ve ever had. You won’t regret giving R Wine Bar and Kitchen your business.

Fantastic! Service was as good as it gets , very polite, prompt , and knowledgeable of the wines and menu. The ricotta appetizer was very good. Caesar salad , big portion for a side salad also very good. Everyone at our table loved their entrees. Chicken parmesan , the pork chop , braised beef dish and the Cioppino were all well prepared and very good. Definitely will be back!
