Daehwa Vegetarian

Good korean vegetarian restaurant. It wasn’t pack when we came. But getting more and more people after awhile around 5.30-6pm. All food was good. Didn’t expect it would be quite packed because the surrounding shops closed and it was not crowded area on weekend. 1 big korean army stew was too big for 3 people. I would be nice for 4 people. Physical menu will be provided for the elderly but still need to scan barcode and order accordingly

Quality food each and every time! Have been bringing different groups of friends there to dine and even my meat-loving pals fall in love with Daehwa. Generous portions so I personally like to visit with more friends so we can share 1 or 2 mains and get sides!! Personal must-trys: yangnyeom broccoli, tangsuyuk, gimbap ((Pics by my friend))

Did a walk-in without realising its vegetarian (which I'm not usually a fan of), but I wasn't the least bit disappointed! Loved the Jjampong (spicy noodles soup with vegetables and mushroom) and the Tangsuyuk (fried mushrooms with sweet sauce). Pricing wise, I found it very reasonable for the portion size given in a casual, restaurant setting.

Located at level 1 fusionopolis, small seating area so do reserve your spot before coming over to avoid queues. Food is generally on the expensive side 15++ but good thing is no service charge & gst. Good that they hire special needs staff too as it makes the cost more acceptable. However pricing often leads diners to order the lower priced pancake which is not tasty, while the other dishes go 2x the price, while not being 2x in taste. The army stew is unfortunately overrated and portion sizes even for the sides are measly. We only got one spoonful of beansprouts and 4 small cubes of potato as sides for 2 pax without refill. The jjampong is quite hearty and the only meal worth the price. Go if you really crave koreanfood and are vegetarian. Otherwise there are plenty of better, more well priced and tastier options elsewhere.

Ordered a couple of dishes to try on a Friday evening. Stand out dishes were the Ginseng Soup and the Fried Broccoli. The Kimchi Pancake was forgettable. The side dishes which tasted bland came in rather small portions. Service was transactional. Reserve your table if you are coming and dining time is 75 mins - which is sufficient given that their table service is prompt.
